NHL Semi Finals

Cork and the Dubs first into action Sunday afternoon, followed by Tipp and Waterford. With players now reaching good fitness levels and with half decent weather this should be an enjoyable few hours Hurling.

Its still early days in teams preparation for the championship. I would expect 2 decent games with Cork and Tipp coming through. Cork's game should be tight, not sure what Waterford will bring against the much fancied Tipp.

Of course Cork and Tipp will be hot favourites but I hope they are two good matches and sure from a Dublin and Waterford perspective its a bonus if they click and make the final. Nothing to loose,go out and who knows but I fancy Tipp this year.

Can't call either match TBH, Tipp are my favorites for All Ireland but they have a lot missing this weekend, Still have impressive panel so the second match I hope will be close. Cork destroyed Dublin earlier but Im sure it will be close but again i think Cork will make final. Looking forward to going to it. Hope weather is good and draws crowd

Looking forward to 2 good games.First up is our lads v Cork.Fresh in the Dublin players minds will be the absolute hammering they received from Cork in Croke Park a few weeks back. The tight pitch in Nowlan Park may suit Dublin as the silky, skillfull Cork forwards may not find as much space as they did in HQ.I see this game as being 50/50.No more,no less.
Second up is Tipp v a much improved looking Waterford. The ease at which the Deise beat Wexford in Wexford Park, with promotion on the line, was impressive.A nice mix of experience and quality young hurlers like O Mahony and Gleeson.Tipp have responded admiringly from last years devestating Hawkeye call.I thought losing both last years League and All Ireland finals would have an adverse affect on them this year.Especially for the League.Theyve looked solid and must be keen to right the wrongs of last year.N O Meara and J Forde have added to the forward line.R Maher and J McGrath are useful additions also.Callinan, and to a lesser extent Bergin, are losses. This game is also hard to call, but when the dust settles,i fancy Tipps harder, more competetive Div 1A games to stand to them, and to reach the final.

Should be a good crowd & atmosphere in Nowlan Park for this.

Looks like Dublin will be at full strength after Conal Keaney was cleared to play by the CCCC over the incident involving Cian Lynch of Limerick. Cork also nearly at full strength with the return of Mark Ellis, Alan Cadogan, Stephen McDonnell, and William Kearney.

I think Cork and tipp will win easy enough to be honest I hope I'm wrong .Maybe the tighter pitch will give the Dubs a chance

I don't think the Dubs will fold like they did against Cork in Croke Park & it will be a tighter affair this time, they seem to like playing in Nowlan Park too so it might stand to them. Once they go out and hurl well I'll be happy enough, it's a bonus game really.

Hopefully the footballers playing a challenge game against Galway at the same time won't affect Dubs travelling down.

FODH have buses going down, leaving Connolly Station at 11:00 and Rathcoole Village at 11:30. You can text 0872331983 to book a seat - €15 return for non members.

(The buses are staying for both games)

Should be good games - both of them, Cork Tipp would be clear favourites. But you never know, hope the dub give it a right oul rattle.

That was a terrible Dublin performance in Croke Park and hopefully we will see nothing like that for the rest of the year. What kind of a team will Ger put out Sunday, will Liam Rush remain at full forward, our midfield was decimated the last time against Cork so that cant happen again. We had a great chance of a goal in the Croker game and didn't take it, we'll have to do better in those situations come Sunday.
Anybody have any news on Michael Carton, its a good few weeks since his injury, could be due to return shortly.

Rushe isn't a natural full forward. Maybe play him on the '40' instead?

Carton fit to play. I'd imagine Kelly will be left at FB. I'm very interested to see the team that starts v Cork.

Hard to call both games. Honestly think the Cork Dublin game is 50/50. Waterford will perform well against Tipp but expect Tipp to see them off eventually. Will no doubt rack up a big score and hard to see Waterfors match that, could be close though. Would obviously love to see a Cork Tipp final and hopefully the gaa will bring the final to Killarney if so. Would attract a massive crowd for a league final if they did. Lot of hurling to be played Sunday before that might happen though.

Dublin team more or less as expected

Hard to call Dubs v Cork but I feel Dublin could come through. Cant see Waterford getting passed a tipp team that need to win something soon.
