Good game to be honest .Donegal have faded out since the middle of the second half, but the first half in particular was excellent with some great football being played by both sides

If Tyrone thought Kerry anything

If you can't beat them... Join them

Fitzmaurice once again tactically spot on againtst Donegal

Take note everyone else.. because Kerry are now just as good at it than anyone else

I'd love to see Kerry playing in Ulster

Reckon they'd tank any of them playing them at their own game!

It would be epic! Imagine...

Don't know why I bother with these threads , that was a decent game . Excellent place kicking , high fielding and scores from play . What are you expecting in the middle of March !

That was a very enjoyable game with both teams playing a full forward line that they were happy to kick the ball long into. The defending was solid but good accurate kick passes were bringing scores. Also great to see some real respect between the players at stages - Donegals no. 15 kicked a great point from 50 yards and a minute later offered his hand to help a Kerry man off the ground, both these feats were notable for how rare they happen in the modern game.

Agree Soma , thought Donegal kicked a lot of long ball . Noticed that bit of sportsmanship myself !

Excellent competitive game,
I didint agree with either penalty but overall very happy with our performance.
Buckley was immense but special word for Crowley it's like watching Tomas again what a player he is for us.

Fitzmaurice is not stupid he made sure a McHugh wouldn't score a second goal.

Tbf to Donegal (ive been there biggest critic over the years) they played some really good football out there today and they weren't overly defensive and they kicked the ball a lot , great win for kerry I thought Moran was a country mile the best player on the pitch Tommy Walsh looks way off which is to be expected. I know it's been said before a million times but division 1 should be made into the championship the games are so much better and way more exciting.

Clondalkin - that's the first ever post that I agree with you , there needs to be something done alright . Having Dublin , Kerry , Mayo , Donegal etc playing against each other every week or two would be great . A top tier would be excellent ! Championship is too lop sided .

Yep I said it before, the League should be the premier competition but it would take some swallowing of pride by the top 'knobs' for this to happen :D

So people would have been happy for Division 2 Donegal to not be allowed play for the top prize in Gaelic football last year?

Soma - no , I mean an alteration to the overall system , a fair championship and one where there are way more competitive matches !

Up D Kingdom!! Great result today, fair play to the boys! Two winnable games left, think one more win should put us into the semis. As someone said, division 1 is getting very interesting....

Enjoyable game today and could have went either way but i think Kerry deserved the win. Their midfield was better than ours today with Neil Gallagher playing well but had poor support.
It was a massive improvement on our performance last week. Let's hope we can get the points to stay up as playing these type of games is great for bringing on younger players like Hugh Mc Fadden who played very well today.

Agreed. The league offers the best competition until late August. May till then is only a filler until we get the inevitable teams left in the championship. They are playing each other now.

Watching League Sunday last night, I heard Pat Spillane mention that Donegal had 9 players over the age of 30 in a tone of they are in old and in decline. I was bit shocked by this, and had a look through their panel. I could only find 6 players in their whole squad aged 30 or over, Including Goalkeeper Paul Durkin who is 30.

Even when you Include all 6 players aged 30 or over, the average age of the squad is still only 25. I would have thought that to be a healthy enough age spread for a County panel.
