This competition throws in in about a month, who are the teams to keep an eye on? notimpressed (UK) - Posts: 98 - 16/02/2015 15:14:35 1694073 Link 0 |
I haven't a clue what the other teams will be like but I know Dublin will have a very strong team , not saying they'll win it but they will be hard to beat for sure. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 16/02/2015 15:26:54 1694079 Link 0 |
Kerry have put a massive effort in this hear and entered the Hastings Cup to ensure game time.. Seamus Moynihan has also been added to Darragh's ticket on the sidelines.. I'd be encouraged by the early showing of this side and I can see them giving the comp a serious rattle.. Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5491 - 16/02/2015 15:53:42 1694092 Link 0 |
Hastings cup showed that Connacht looks strong, with Roscommon, Galway and Mayo all progressing to the latter stages. Kerry also showed well. notimpressed (UK) - Posts: 98 - 16/02/2015 16:01:31 1694098 Link 0 |
I think *my county* will do well. I also think *various other counties with an u-21 pedigree* will be there or thereabouts Breffni40 (Cavan) - Posts: 12116 - 16/02/2015 16:10:47 1694106 Link 0 |

Is there any other Hastings Cup equivalent at this grade? Crazy to see Kerry in tournament that was once just for Longford & surrounding counties. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 16/02/2015 16:16:04 1694109 Link 0 |
Meath could do well,if they use a lot of their U21s who are in the senior squad. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 16/02/2015 16:19:38 1694111 Link 0 |
I think Meath recently got a pasting by Roscommon notimpressed (UK) - Posts: 98 - 16/02/2015 16:28:58 1694122 Link 0 |
Hastings Cup had 4 Connacht semi-finalists with Roscommon beating Galway in the final so Connacht looks strong again at this level this year. Marooned (Galway) - Posts: 2209 - 16/02/2015 16:50:18 1694136 Link 0 |
Three contenders to win Connacht ourselves Galway and Mayo. The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 3743 - 16/02/2015 17:05:28 1694147 Link 0 |

In Ulster anyway you can bet your bottom dollar on Cavan doing a 5 in a row, as no team has figured out how to beat us yet since a Jimmy mcGuinness inspired Donegal side did in 2010. And that's when we last lost a game in Ulster. Ned_Stormcrow (Cavan) - Posts: 1071 - 17/02/2015 13:09:05 1694334 Link 0 |
I wouldnt bet against Longford making a good showing this year. Dublin will also surely have the likes of con o callaghan and basquel from the minors last year that won Leinster. First round next wednesday night Longford_Man (Longford) - Posts: 49 - 17/02/2015 19:30:35 1694516 Link 0 |
