Happy Christmas

(Oldest Posts First)

To all on hoganstand have a happy and safe Christmas and new year.
Football aside this personally was a very tough year with a family loss and a close friend too. So ill be happy to see the back of it, but this place was a distraction, even if just to argue nonsense. So to you all have a great one and chat to you all in new year.
Best wishes rd

Happy Christmas to you and yours Royaldunne and to everyone here. Christmas isn't a great time for everyone so watch out for another. And slowdown on the roads and don't drink and drive.

Happy Christmas to you RD and all posters. There may be arguments and divisiveness as well as excellent debate on here at times but at the end of the day we're all part of the great GAA family.

Indeed it can be a very sad time for many. As we get older many of us yearn for the nostalgia of Christmas past when it seemed to be a simpler and happier time. Last week in Belfast City Centre all I could see were stressed out, weary parents looking as if it was all a big chore. When you were younger Christmas was something big to look forward to, now kids can have Christmas any day of the week.

Happy Christmas one and all!!

I agree Ulsterman - unfortunately society is going a bad direction when parents cant think of things to buy their children because they already have everything. Lets keep the flag flying though and bring Christ back into Christmas also.

Merry Christmas RD and all the Hoganstand family. Everyone has their own crosses to carry in life and Christmas can be happy and sad for many people. Stay safe over the holiday period everyone and let the battle commence in 2015 (yikes tis only around the corner!!!).

Happy Christmas rd. I hope that meath get going in 2015 to make leinster and the later stages of the championship more interesting. But you are right, things happen in life that puts football in perspective, that it is only a game compared to other things. Best for 2015!
