Australia v Ireland

Expect a rough match on Saturday morning. Feel in my bones the Aussies are really going to be gunning for us this time. Expect dirty and off the ball belts. Hope our boys will be ready.

Not sure if that is how it will play out Toney, the Aussies are keen for the series to continue and know that an overly aggressive approach puts it at risk. They have picked a very skilful outfit, it could be an excellent game. Hopefully the Irish put on an excellent display of kicking and fielding.

Eagerly looking forward to the battle between Neil McGee and 6ft 8in Nic Naitanui if it comes to pass!

What is the throw in time?

Neil could be in trouble if his man calls marks all the time. Having said that, he mightnt get a chance to settle under the ball either.

Don't think the Aussies have to do all that dirty stuff. They have proved in the past that they can play fast, hard (without any dirt) and skilfully. I also believe their lack of skill with the round ball over the past few years has been down to lack of preparation. There have been years where it looked like it was them who were the gaelic footballers.
Also the game has evolved even further to their favour this year. Personally I don't think they have any excuses.
They have used the ball as an excuse in the past but I think it's a pure cop-out. Every other aspect of the game should be now in their favour. All the Irish have is the ball.

Ireland getting a hammering here so far.

They look totally unprepared for the rules.

Stupid fouls from the Irish is losing this game. No marking at all and all Irish players look totally afraid on the ball. Either keeping the ball too long or rushing with it and just kicking it away without looking.

I don't think the Irish lads have been in anyway prepared for the rules this year. Very very poor.

This is much worse than the Austrlaian effort from last year.

we dont want to know about 50/50 ball... chasing our tails, and the professional fitness of OZ will only help as game progresses, as well as the Aussies looking comfortable with round ball... no pressure from Iirsh players

Embarrassing stuff so far, no plan, terrible kicking. Aussies have been deadly accurate so far.

Ireland playing aa load of men behind the ball and not a one of them bothering to put a tackle in.

Also our basic skills have been awful.

Aidan O'Shea has just missed the entire goal from a free in the 21!

He's not 1st either today. McManus and O'Neill also guilty of taking shots that have managed to somehow miss the entire goal!
