I'd agree Liam, some will not like it I know but he is best player in country for last couple years. A joy to watch.

Actually went along myself yesterday to watch the games. His talent is not in question. But then that's not generally what crops up when he is being discussed. It's possibly unfair but he's probably stuck with that label now. He'll never have the popularity of other marquee forwards outside of Dublin even if he never picks up a card for the rest of his career.

He's in the zone right now and for me there's not a footballer in Ireland that can touch him , JOD is class but he couldn't get a sniff half forward against Donegal this year unlike Connolly who was outstanding. And the most amazing thing is he makes it look ridiculously easy.

Correct Monaghanglory. Fine hurler and if times were different he'd be a dual player , no doubt.

He's good but he's no Colm Cooper.

A backhanded complement Kerryrowz. I suppose that's the best could be expected.
I'm sure you'll probably try to take some credit for him or detract from him wearing a Dublin jersey. God help us but ye talk about bitter people down there and how they begrudge ye the AI. Ye are not immune to that condition either I see.

had another great performance.
pity he didnt connect with the ball like he did for his goal against donegal and we still be all ireland champs.
but then again he will get another crack at donegal on october bank holiday monday when they play them aka plunketts
in the final. lost all support for plunketts after watching there last two games
hard to imagine a team with a forward line of alan and bernard brogan and nesty
using a 14 man defence, effective maybe but dour to watch and polar opposite to the attacking exciting football
plunketts had treated us to over the last 5 years.
the end doesnt justify the means in my book
be cheering for vincents for maybe first time since they played ucd in the final haha

Doublehop he earned his reputation to his own actions, his own fault. He is a class footballer however.

Was there myself yesterday. Not too many can bring the gasps of admiration that Diarmuid brought with his contributions yesterday. He was worth the admission fee on his own. He will not win POTY which is a shame because that is exactly what he is. Diarmuid is capable of doing anything and more that JOD can do but there is no way JOD could do half the stuff that Diarmuid does.

And Hill bernard has said in many interviews that that's not the way to play football, this is my point on McGuiness great for Donegal but not great for Gaelic football IMO .

Class act alright, will not get POTY though as it will go to JOD.Not right call though IMO.

Two of his points against Donegal (one in the first, one in the second) were as good as have ever been scored. I don't think I'd ever seen scores like that against an on-form Donegal team under McGuinness.

Its a pity in some ways that he is part of such a strong Dublin forward line.and stuck on the wing. If he could have a team built around him where he is the main focal point he would get to show his talents more and I think would go down as one of the best forwards the game ever saw. A joy to watch and can do everything.

I disliked him for a while, he was way too inconsistent to justify the hyperbole being spouted about him years ago. But my God, he's on a different level these days. He has it all, athleticism, pace, power, guile, awareness, footballing intellect. Now, he's producing 4-5 star performances every game, it must be a nightmare going up against him in club championship I'd say.

He is the best player in Ireland right now, no doubt.

He's a serious player . His performance in the club final on Patricks Day was special . Should have been nominated for Player of The Year this year .
