If this goes through then surely it's time to question the point in continuing with competitions like the Christy Ring and B Championships if the winners aren't rewarded with spots in the senior / A competitions. if_in_doubt (Kildare) - Posts: 3685 - 03/10/2014 15:25:08 1659804 Link 0 |
I see no reason why the Minor and u21 championships cant be played in the format of an open draw anyway! bumpernut (Antrim) - Posts: 1852 - 03/10/2014 15:36:12 1659810 Link 0 |
I suppose they could run it in a similar way to the British teams in the club championship brick, with one of Munster/Leinster going straight to the AI final and the other playing the Ulster winners in a semi-final? It would seem best to get Antrim into Leinster as well though. Soma (UK) - Posts: 2630 - 03/10/2014 15:46:58 1659817 Link 0 |
If Galway are brought in, then Antrim should be admitted as well. lilywhite1 (Kildare) - Posts: 2984 - 03/10/2014 15:51:47 1659820 Link 0 |

Sorry Marlon I probably could have been a bit clearer there. I meant B Championships with regard to the Christy Ring and underage solely. If the winners of the Nicky Rackard and Lory Meagher cups are promoted automatically then the same should apply to the Christy Ring winners. if_in_doubt (Kildare) - Posts: 3685 - 03/10/2014 17:11:20 1659863 Link 0 |
Maybe the likes of Derry & Down would be better off in the B competition if Antrim go to Leinster? keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 03/10/2014 17:53:58 1659878 Link 0 |
