Sensational comeback by Cork Ladies in Croker. Heartbreaking for Dublin but 9 out of 10 for Cork but today was unbelievable.

Yeah well done Cork. Ye would have been sick if you'd left that one behind as the chances missed were bordering on unbelievable. Commiserations to the Dublin lassies who were very clinical with the most of the chances presented.

Cork would have been sick? Dublin were ten up with 15 mins left only one team sick after that that's 3 years in a row we've blown massive leads to Cork , well done Cork unreal spirit but we blew it big style

Think the Dubs were 2-10 to o- 6 ahead with about 15 mins left. Cork came back to win 2-13 to 2-12, taking lead for first time with about 90 seconds on the clock. Yep they would be kicking themselves had they lost but they showed incredible heart to keep going when it just seemed it wasn't going to be there day.

Well done to the Rebelettes! What a team.

Our girls played some great stuff at times but just weren't good enough at the end of the day.

Clondalkin - its understandable that having been ahead for most of the game you and Dublin will be sickened. However, had Cork been as clinical then it would have been a lot larger a winning margin. They were the better team in most areas bar their score taking. I said towards the end of the first half that Cork were shooting like a team that didn't want to lift the trophy.

Caught the last 15 mins. Better than the Ryder Cup any day of the week. Great drama, skill levels exceptional. Most fellas would kill to have 1 foot as cultured as Valerie Mulcahy's two!

Cork is a great county to be from. Only county to win the double. and now we win the double in ladies GAA also.
A feat Kilkenny, Kerry and Donegal and the rest, can never hope to emulate.

roundball, I had to read that post a couple of times, as far as I know the Ladies have done the double before. A few of the girls play both codes.

Offside I 100% completely disagree , Dublin were 10 points up and were a country mile the better team until the last 15 minutes were cork were unreal but up to that Dublin deserved there lead no doubt about for 45 minutes they battered Cork but sadly a game is 60 minutes long and fair play to Cork for there comeback.

Clondalkin I won't get into a debate on it as I understand that you had a vested interest while I was watching as a complete neutral. Sure some of yer fellow County posters can call it how it was.

Congratulations to Cork ladies, they showed the resolve that champions are made of today. But I would be very disappointed if I were a Dublin supporter, as you should never surrender a ten point lead in any game.

As for the OP, I think he's beating up on the Cork men a bit. Ok, they let themselves down against Kerry in the Munster final, but they showed plenty of heart against Mayo in the quarters, and had the game gone on another five minutes, may well have won it. Cork hurlers won Munster for the first time in years. There's plenty of talent there.

Yes it is a great county. Our ladies team is absolutely fantastic and the likes of Briege Corkery and Angel Walsh's achievement should be bigged up massively as to have 14 All-Irelands won at senior level is simply incredible.

I do not think the likes of Kilkenny, Kerry or Donegal will be too worried about wanting to emulate us. In the mens codes, we have more clubs than all of them put together, we have far more players at our disposal than every county in both codes. So with that in my mind , it would be good to ask why are we so dismal at both? I would love to emulate Kerry and KK.

coaching and tactics sadly missing in lot of cork football sides as the players seem naive or nowhere near as clever as some of the other teams despite possessing loads of ability
