Yeah, heard that and just heard the end of another issue they were discussing which seemed to suggest the county board clowns are still running the circus. BallBearing (USA) - Posts: 72 - 23/09/2014 20:47:37 1656307 Link 0 |
this smells big time.they must be some crowd when they cant cover up a cover up!! most gaa people would love mayo to win an all ireland if their own county wasnt in it but this type of thing isnt good.it seems the mayo county board look to be happy to have the team"up there" rather than go the whole way.. kavvie (Clare) - Posts: 504 - 24/09/2014 09:35:22 1656374 Link 0 |
It's hard to know what motivates members of the Mayo County Board alright. Doesn't look like doing their best for football in the county is top of their list. Befire O'Mahony returned I thought that he was a good choice and would revive our fortunes. That didn't orive to be the case, his politucal ambitions were greater than his footballing ones and the county board left him there far too long. Sounds very messy over there right now lads, big shame after dining at the top table for the last few years. Will there be fallout or will it be sorted sensibly? realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8571 - 24/09/2014 15:49:30 1656604 Link 0 |
Id imagine the new management team will bring something totally new and maybe unearth a new player or two which could be all Mayo need. Maybe some sour grapes from McHale? Brolly (Monaghan) - Posts: 4472 - 24/09/2014 18:34:34 1656673 Link 0 |
Lots of talk from all parties now, it reflects badly on all concerned in Mayo, i wonder would the Mc Stay /Mc Hale ticket be interested in another county now.. Galway position still not filled Belclare1 (Galway) - Posts: 1626 - 25/09/2014 08:35:14 1656794 Link 0 |
I think people should delay making judgements about the county board until we get a better idea of what these radical changes that were in the presentation included. If it involved a huge outlay of money or a change to how the club championship is run then I would applaud the county board for rejecting it. Mayo are regular All-Ireland finalists, they won a minor last year and had a team in this year's club All-Ireland, this suggests the county board are getting alot of things right.
