Id have O'Shea in for Walsh at mf. Walsh has all the tools, but never actually seems to deliver on them TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 23/09/2014 12:53:06 1655901 Link 0 |
Not bad, I'd have cavanagh instead of Walsh, James McCarthy at wing back (even after the no show in semi) flack (Dublin) - Posts: 1054 - 23/09/2014 12:58:56 1655904 Link 0 |
And here I was thinking there was more to the GAA than Gaelic football. Obviously not. mike03 (Limerick) - Posts: 2000 - 23/09/2014 13:07:13 1655910 Link 0 |
You only have Brogan in there on reputation. Hasn't had a good year. Gavvygavgav (Dublin) - Posts: 382 - 23/09/2014 13:19:44 1655920 Link 0 |

Ridiculous post. Karl Lacey, the best tackler in the modern game left out of the supposed best 15 football players in Ireland? Don't be surprised to see him return to the full-back line next year and play a vital role for Donegal again. SurelyToGod (Donegal) - Posts: 373 - 23/09/2014 13:31:57 1655937 Link 0 |

Man of the match against Donegal in Div 2 League final, man of the match against Tyrone, Man of the match against Armagh and Man of the Match against Kildare. Its alright sure 4 out of 6 isn't good enough because he's from Monaghan, he is more deserving of an All Star this year than Colin Walshe and Conor McManus where in 2013. shaggylegend (Monaghan) - Posts: 1928 - 23/09/2014 13:44:34 1655951 Link 0 |

Sorry, just had a better look, your right there goldrick, it's more like an all stars than the actual best 15 players in Ireland. flack (Dublin) - Posts: 1054 - 23/09/2014 13:45:36 1655954 Link 0 |
Aidan O'Shea drifts in and out of games. When he's on it, he's good. When he's not, you'll find him falling over or blowing hard. Gavvygavgav (Dublin) - Posts: 382 - 23/09/2014 13:53:29 1655962 Link 0 |
Emlyn Mulligan for me a hidden gem because he plays for Leitrim but is a class act, would easily get onto any of the top teams in Ireland. aidan1000 (Leitrim) - Posts: 106 - 23/09/2014 14:17:53 1655989 Link 0 |
There's a right few players around the country who would hold their own in any of the 'big' squads from the top 8. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9116 - 23/09/2014 14:58:12 1656017 Link 0 |
No MesAmis, Aidan O'Shea. Seamus wasn't great this year, and isn't the player his brother is anyway. AOS seems to suffer from the C.Ronaldo syndrome - because he has an unusual haircut and expresses his genuine opinion when asked, instead of the party line, people seem to want him to fail, and anything he does wrong gets remembered. The reality is, there aren't many midfielders in living memory who could have scored that goal against cork, and his collision with O'Connor probably gave Kerry the platform they needed around the middle in our loss. I can tell you now, as good as moran was, he wouldn't have had 40 odd possessions had that not happened, the drawn game showed that, where o'shea ruled the skies for the entire third quarter. The guy doesn't get the credit he deserves, because people seem to have a personal dislike for him. TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 23/09/2014 15:23:09 1656044 Link 0 |
You cannot have Flynn in there. A good athlete but not in the top 15 in the country skill wise icehonesty (Wexford) - Posts: 2550 - 23/09/2014 15:51:33 1656073 Link 0 |
