What an absolutely brilliant game, For the third year in a row, A final has gone to a replay. Outstanding entertainment. I pose the question though, Is it fair on players and fans of the participating counties that they have to make the trip again in a few weeks time for the replay ? waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 07/09/2014 17:36:57 1649137 Link 0 |
don't think tipp would have fancied going to penalties. Miler (Mayo) - Posts: 1015 - 07/09/2014 17:41:05 1649145 Link 0 |
Yes they should, or at least next sunday. Why the long wait? Tickets will be half price anyway for replay. Not fair on players and club set up. 222 (UK) - Posts: 692 - 07/09/2014 17:42:42 1649150 Link 0 |

I agree finals should finish on the day. Play ET and see if we can have a winner on the first day and if it's still level after that then so be it yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11230 - 07/09/2014 17:47:41 1649154 Link 0 |
Definitely should go to extra time. FA Cup, Champions League etc go to extra time. Club championships will be pushed out well into late October in these counties. All championship games should go to extra time. The 1st round games use to. The_Bull (Cork) - Posts: 248 - 07/09/2014 18:01:27 1649163 Link 0 |
When I ask myself what is the purpose of replays - I struggle for a logical answer. omahant (USA) - Posts: 2580 - 07/09/2014 18:02:41 1649164 Link 0 |

I firmly believe All Ireland final's and Indeed Semi-final's etc should be concluded on the day. GaryMc82 (Derry) - Posts: 3017 - 07/09/2014 18:53:51 1649197 Link 0 |

Can anyone tell me why the replay is not next Saturday/Sunday? Like if this was a provincial final or semi, it would be? Makes no sense to me. 222 (UK) - Posts: 692 - 07/09/2014 19:19:00 1649214 Link 0 |
So now the bull can tell when a player is inured. The bull, I don't recall any comment from you when Richie Power nearly got his ankles broken when straight through on goal against Limerick. Yet another Tipp cheerleader from Cork, tis what ye've been doing best for the past five years. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 07/09/2014 19:31:15 1649221 Link 0 |

I agree Ban. It's all about the drink... Interesting how you took that from my observation. Brolly (Monaghan) - Posts: 4472 - 07/09/2014 19:52:30 1649234 Link 0 |
