From a Dubliner's perspective I think I'd prefer to meet Kerry in the Final. avonali (Dublin) - Posts: 1974 - 30/08/2014 09:51:36 1644452 Link 0 |
Mayo by 3. Mayo are the better conditioned team and Kerry older players might not have the legs for 2nd game in 6 days.Plus Mayo haven't lost a replay lost since 96 HandyMoran (Roscommon) - Posts: 327 - 30/08/2014 10:42:03 1644472 Link 0 |
I'd agree, it was done in the past and glad it's gone as shows no class what so ever. SLLY (Dublin) - Posts: 463 - 30/08/2014 10:55:32 1644473 Link 0 |
Mayo will obviously have learned more about Kerry and vice-versa, but more importantly Mayo will have learned more about themselves and this will balance up the confidence equation with the Kingdom. I expect Mayo play their own game today at a high level of intensity and to be able to contain the Hail Mary tactic when it arrives this time. If they can manage to get Kieran Donaghy into the game before halftime, we should be well on our way to a 5+ win. If we repeat the mistakes of 6 days ago it could go either way. Oh and by the way went with Mayo last day but don't think they will win today and missed another boat. SLLY (Dublin) - Posts: 463 - 30/08/2014 11:27:06 1644481 Link 0 |

Kerry had to win two replays in 2000. Mayo are deserved favourites. Extra-time won't surprise me. Hopeful we'll get through. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7754 - 30/08/2014 11:31:34 1644484 Link 0 |
Mayo by two just have that little bit more strength throughout the team. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1780 - 30/08/2014 11:50:27 1644491 Link 0 |
Fair point regards the roaring into players faces after scoring. Real lack of class. Mayo in fairness are good at tackling. Some of their other play at times seemed over aggressive but the ref let it go. I disagreed with the sentiment that it was a sporting game up until the red card. With some of the stuff the ref was letting Mayo away with, it was a complete shock at the time that he did brandish a red. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7754 - 30/08/2014 11:50:53 1644492 Link 0 |

We'll win today if we can show we can put into practice the lessons learned throughout the season. We had one great 25 min spell last Sunday, and some 20 min of good football in the other gamea. We've yet to peak. Kerry might have better footballers but we have a better, hungrier, team. GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 7290 - 30/08/2014 12:25:30 1644505 Link 0 |
Linesmen and umpires were poor last Sunday but they were mostly poor all year, the amount of pulling and dragging by both teams off the ball wasn't pulled on by officals, i hate to hear people with rose coloured glasses, our team didn't do anything wrong it was the opposition that should have booked, bull, if you want to speak about fairness then you need to have a neutral opinion, my guess today it will be a rubbish 1st 20mins then both will probably loosen up and could be a classic match and Mayo to win by 1pt maybe after extratime. Then again it could be the opposite and Kerry could run riot in the 1st half and game be over by halftime like 2004 and 06. Just heard on midwest radio major delays in Tuam already and that was 12.26pm. Thats only starting off the bad tailbacks, will be as bad as Enfield and Kinnegad in the past riverboys (Mayo) - Posts: 1389 - 30/08/2014 12:28:01 1644507 Link 0 |
The last time Mayo won Sam in 1951 they beat Kerry after a replay in the All Ireland semi-final. OLLIE (Louth) - Posts: 12224 - 30/08/2014 13:05:44 1644513 Link 0 |
Kerry by 5 or 6, holding all the big guns in reserve. If kerry are level with 15 mins to go they will pull away. The last. 10 minutes is usually when this mayo side fades out. Traleenative (Kerry) - Posts: 44 - 30/08/2014 13:06:07 1644515 Link 0 |

I'm not sure who benefitted most from last Sunday, could be another draw but with a gun to the head.... Mayo! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8571 - 30/08/2014 13:18:16 1644519 Link 0 |
No idea, but as Dub would rather meet Kerry in the final than a Mayo team whose confidence would be massive if they pull it off today. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 30/08/2014 13:43:32 1644531 Link 0 |
