KK - the team that have won 9 out of the 14 All-Irelands so far this century are not in Cork's class!!!????????????

Unless you clarify that rubbish, nobody is going to take seriously. Take your head out of your arse lad.

In reality, Tipp will win the semi-final - I predict they win by 7-8 points. Cork are a patched up team. Cahalane, Joyce, Ellis, Walsh, Cooper and Cronin are not intercounty standard hurlers. They are good hurlers but they do not have the real skill, speed of thought of a top class intercounty player. They will be found out. Bringing on guys like Egan, Moylan, McCarthy is also a waste of time.

Cork are being dragged through because guys like Kearney, Lehane, Horgan, Cadogan and Harnedy are dragging us through games. These fellas are all top class. The championship only starts now. Results up to now mattter not one iota.

Cork were lucky to beat Kilkenny last year. Cork were the better team. I agree with that. However, we got the rub of the green from the referee. Henry deserved to be sent off. So did Shane O'Neill. When Shane got left on, Kilkenny were in the ascendancy. That decision could have changed everything. That is done and dusted though.

I agree that we have serious hurlers. I said that in the last post. We have very weak hurlers as well. I must be the only one that is not glossing over Aidan Walsh's weaknesses (the fact that he cannot not solo the ball which means he may get dispossessed - fine when you are playing games that they not have much bite but that could cost Cork big time later this year). He is certainly good in air and he chips in with the odd score but his biggest tests are yet to come.

You said Bill Cooper is a great find? Not sure what you are basing that on.

I hope you are right by the way. I hope time does prove you right. I will remember this post and I will come back and I will tell you how right you were. I have no problem publicly admitting when I have been wrong with something. If I don't you can pull me up on it.

Benny cooper can get important scores but his ability to break up play/win the dirty ball is first class he is a grafter and a good worker every team needs this type of player, its not about me been right i just have so much belief in this side and our manager,NOW i will say this to you i have no gripe with you and like me you are a passionete cork man that wants to win i belive in this side WE CAN DO IT WE WILL DO IT,AND IF IM WRONG AND TIPP LIMERICK OR KK BEAT US [WONT HAPPEN THOUGH]I WILL COME ON HERE AND SAY I GOT IT WRONG YOU WERE RIGHT were not good enough but take it from me that wont happen, now benny chin up less of the negativity more of the positivty and il see you in barrys for a scoop on all ireland final day

Benny u are a man of sense and humility. No bravado or hyperbole.I agree with a lot of your post.Cork are good,no doubt about it,but great they are not.Not yet anyway. You mentioned the 5 or 6 players that are really crucial to the team.If Lehane or Horgan can be held in semi final,Tipp would fancy their chances. At the moment for me,its a straight 50/50 game.Even Paddy Power has priced it up as evens for both.If Micky Cahill and C O Mahony make it i would slightly favour Tipp but really its on the day.

Eddie either u are deluded or a stirrer. For your sake I hope it is the latter. On treaty side we would love another crack at Cork for reasons that if u r deluded u wont understand.

Cork will beat Tipp I reckon well enough .
Cork have been the best team all summer in my opinion.
Wasn't impressed with Tipp last Sunday.
They won't get it handed to them like we did .
Cork have been consistent and once they put Tipp on the back foot should be too good for them.
I think limerick will beat Kilkenny as well and set up a repeat of the Munster final

Have to agree with Eddie, Cork are a good bit ahead of us anyway, too many questions about us in pivotal positions, they should beat us comfortably by 7 or 8 pulling up. I'll just be happy if we can keep it pucked out to Cork.

I agree Cork are better than us but if history of Tipp Cork games have thought me anything is it makes no difference who has better team as these games take on a life of their own. Always 50 50 games 1990 Tipp had a might team, Cork feared a hammering, Cork beat us. 2007 Cork had a super team and a bad Tipp team beat them, I could keep going but I still think Cork will win tnis one because I seem to have little faith in Tipp, please let me be wrong.

Cork could win the All-Ireland this year - but then so could Kilkenny, Tipperary or Limerick. If I were a neutral, I would make Kilkenny favourites because in spite of new players, they still have vast experience on their bench and they have Brian Cody on the sideline. Second favourites would be Limerick because they appear to possess a fanatical drive at the moment. Tipperary would be probably third on my list, simply because they are further along the road of development than ourselves. (And Lar is back.

If there's one thing that annoys me it's people saying that So-and-so is not an inter-county hurler. In the case of Cork, all players are on the panel because JBM thinks they are the best he has. they're there to do different jobs for the county and they have done their jobs very well up to the present. They are some outside the panel that I think will hurl for Cork in the future, but JBM is the man who makes the call and I trust his judgement above all others.

My only worry for Cork is the lack of experience in winning an All-Ireland, at any level. However, I do think they will have gained allot from last year but if they are to win it they will need to big performances.

I cant help but feel Limerick might snatch the other semi - some great hurlers, a point to prove after last years defeat to Clare. If the keep Hogan and Reid quiet then its most certainly on. It would be great watching them go banana's before the final. It would be even better seeing them win the Final.

Tipp for me

Eddie you say it as you see it. Those who feel sure that as they see it is as it is are deluded. Cork are better than they were last year but there was an illegal goal (harnedy) and a few rusty wides between us and cork in yere own back yard. Ye wont have that luxuery the next day. If ye beat tipp that is

That is some confidence eddie for a team who have won just 1 Munster medal since 2006.Im not knocking Cork, far from it,i think theyve some beautiful hurlers, just i admire your unwavering belief in the team guaranteed to bring Liam McCarthy back to leeside. For me theyve as good a chance as the other three. No more.No less.

Midleton Cork are further along in their progression as a team more than Tipp, I know we won an all ireland in 10 but that is a long time ago. Cork were only beaten after a replay last year in which they probably should have won the first day and are Munster champions this year. They look far more accomplished this year than they did last year. Tipp didn't even make the quarter finals last year and were knocked out in their first game in the munster championship this year. Its very hard to see anything other than a handy win for Cork in this game. Tipp have question marks all over them, I just can't see us being a threat to ye this year

cuetherocket thanks for your comments every long journey begins with one small step yes only one munster won but its this year and were on our way and your right my belief in this team is unshakable, disillusioned with respect i think you should be called disilluded there was six points or two goals which ever way you want to put it up fair call about harnedys goal but on the day despite everything we were just that wee bit better than yourselves and dont give me this home advantage nonesence tipp could not beat you at home so no advantage that day, play it in lourdes play it where ever we were just that bit better on that day

Eddie on the day ye were a wee bit better than us. No doubt. What u seem to miss is that it was Corks 4th game and our second. We have come on much more form playing our second.

No one except you think it is a donedeal therefore you are either a genius who the sunday game should snatch up or u r deluded.
Im with every one else which seems that it is an even enough four teams with us being slight outsiders because we have kk in semi.
