... Jeeze the abuse was certainly not coming from the HS Cork page... just had a look jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20589 - 25/07/2014 13:09:00 1625816 Link 0 |
While I never seen a whole lot either, I think this should serve as a reminder to people that when they purposely misrepresent the truth and post things about an opposing player or group of players that they know isn't true, just to get a reaction out of some other poster etc, they should remember these are real people. Cork lads here are all sound. There was one eijit who sems to have left. PROC has some prize fools on it who seem to do nothing othe than abuse their own and other players. You would think the Cork footballers had gone out deliberatley to be beaten by Dublin and Kerry! hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 25/07/2014 13:27:45 1625823 Link 0 |
Unfortunately the abuse is part and parcel of being a Cork footballer lads, although this time it was way over the top. probably due to the fact that the performance was so inept,in their own backyard also. bloodandbandage (Cork) - Posts: 266 - 25/07/2014 13:41:46 1625831 Link 0 |
It wasn't what I would call a committed Cork display by any means though.. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 25/07/2014 13:45:39 1625837 Link 0 |
Unfotlrtunately the footballers are open to more abuse than their hurling counterparts. Ok you might prefer one more than the other but dont abuse or scoff those who prefer the other. batterburger (Cork) - Posts: 161 - 25/07/2014 15:14:01 1625880 Link 0 |

No sympathy for them to be honest. Its part and parcel of being involved in any team these days. crossfieldball (Galway) - Posts: 650 - 25/07/2014 16:17:25 1625906 Link 0 |
I wonder too why players even bother getting offender particularly if its an anon poster etc. People are either more abusive or players more sensitive, either seems part of the gig. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4892 - 25/07/2014 17:32:16 1625940 Link 0 |
Said it before lads/lassies, some players pay this site a visit now and then! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8571 - 25/07/2014 18:38:58 1625952 Link 0 |
From what I have been told the abuse did not occur on any fourm, but was posted directly on the twitter pages of individual Cork players. A new low in low. Midleton (Cork) - Posts: 643 - 25/07/2014 18:48:42 1625957 Link 0 |
I'm really not sure what their talking about. Some of the abuse sent directly to the players on twitter etc. was way over the top but bringing forums into it is ridiculous. Firstly there was no sort of personal abuse of any player on them I saw and secondly if they're going to places like the PROC looking for sympathy it's a waste of time. Obviously they can't avoid it on social networks but there's absolutely no need for them to be going onto forums and start getting offended over what people are saying, just stay off them. Joxer, being a county player does not give some anonymous pr1ck a license to abuse them! You can be sure they would not say it to their face. And The Master is correct. There are real people behind names on the internet and Twitter. If you would not say something to someone when they are standing on front of you then don't say it by text. I know we all have our moments here but in general it is civilized. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 25/07/2014 20:30:13 1626002 Link 0 |

I heard no abuse at the match. I heard a lot of grumbles and a lot of people were leaving early having regretted paying to come in to see us been beaten out the gate by Kerry. bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3917 - 29/07/2014 16:54:22 1628055 Link 0 |
