I'm surprised there's not a thread on this. Mick O'Dowd said in the press conference that a Dublin player bit a Meath player. Former_Poster (Meath) - Posts: 394 - 20/07/2014 18:12:08 1622070 Link 0 |
Between this and Diarmuid Connolly refusing to shake hands with certain players it calls Dublins sportsmanship into light Royalio11 (Meath) - Posts: 757 - 20/07/2014 18:17:25 1622081 Link 0 |
Former poster, no thread as there is far more pressing things for mod got worry about than this. Non event until something proven. Innocent until proven guilty. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 20/07/2014 18:20:35 1622089 Link 0 |
Royaldunne I think we can discuss the issue if it's in the public domain especially as Dublin have history with this kind of thing. Former_Poster (Meath) - Posts: 394 - 20/07/2014 18:29:09 1622103 Link 0 |
Sounds like sour grapes from Meath, very disappointing. PiddyM (Kerry) - Posts: 17 - 20/07/2014 18:48:39 1622128 Link 0 |
There's a ready-made solution to all this already in place. Make it mandatory for the players to wear hurling helmets. Actually while they're at it, give them hurls and make the ball a lot smaller. Then we'd have a proper game :) Maroonatic (Galway) - Posts: 1060 - 20/07/2014 18:53:52 1622134 Link 0 |

Wonder why only Dublin players do this?! GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 7290 - 20/07/2014 19:18:45 1622174 Link 0 |
This needs to be investigated but innocent until a finding is concluded. Certainly not sour grapes. If proven there should be a lengthy ban. If not proven then move on. Well done to dubs. So powerful all over the pitch. fecksakeref (Wexford) - Posts: 111 - 20/07/2014 19:22:16 1622180 Link 0 |
it will be interesting to see what evidence there is for this but i must admit it is very strange to see another dublin player involved in a biting incident..it will be interesting to see some posters opinions on this who probably condemned luis suarez the other week for instance fabio8 (USA) - Posts: 2182 - 20/07/2014 21:05:46 1622349 Link 0 |
and if proven to be true..people calling it sour grapes need to seriously look at themselves..why bother making an accusation like this if no basis?..quite serious if proven but innocent until proven guilty..i hope it is handled better than the donegal incident fabio8 (USA) - Posts: 2182 - 20/07/2014 21:06:54 1622352 Link 0 |
Of course a player should be banned if found justifiably guilty, but if the 'victim' shoves his finger or hand in your mouth there's only one answer, chomp! But video evidence will clear this up, there's cameras all over Croker, so this should be dealt with swiftly! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8571 - 20/07/2014 21:13:48 1622372 Link 0 |

Last thing Meath need over next two weeks is this all over media. But needs to be investigated none the less. Will be very hard to prove either way. Hope it concludes quickly and fairly seadog54 (Meath) - Posts: 2128 - 20/07/2014 21:19:09 1622386 Link 0 |
Desperate stuff. Those Donegal fellas making up stories about Dublin players biting. Oh wait............ MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 20/07/2014 21:21:32 1622391 Link 0 |
come on now realdub..dont be making excuses for a despicable act if proven true..did you offer suarez the same benefit of the doubt?..be objective fabio8 (USA) - Posts: 2182 - 20/07/2014 21:22:12 1622393 Link 0 |
hill..some objectivity please..i wonder if your feelings would be the same if it was a non-dub player involved..2-3 incidents now under jim gavins management..hardly makes good reading fabio8 (USA) - Posts: 2182 - 20/07/2014 21:23:49 1622396 Link 0 |
Disgracefull if true , these dublin players are far too highly strung , wonder what's in there dinner. ? royalpainter (Meath) - Posts: 874 - 20/07/2014 21:24:16 1622399 Link 0 |
lets hope rte give this similar coverage to the numerous incidents they gave paul galvin whenever he found himself in off the ball incidents...if proven guilty a ban...if not then move on but lets hope there is actual footage of this unlike the donegal situation and there should be considering its a high profile match fabio8 (USA) - Posts: 2182 - 20/07/2014 21:25:13 1622403 Link 0 |
