Does anyone know why hurling finals aren't being shown on Saturday? I thought TG4 would surely have them :-( KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 04/06/2014 21:50:52 1598319 Link 0 |
Don't think they've ever been shown on TV have they? doublehop (Kildare) - Posts: 4172 - 05/06/2014 13:35:09 1598573 Link 0 |
Haven't been show for a few years now. Either RTE or TG4 used to show both the Christy Ring & Nicky Rackard finals live for a year or 2 around 2005/2006 I think. The Real 1944 (Carlow) - Posts: 1114 - 05/06/2014 14:21:10 1598620 Link 0 |
No TG4 never showed the Ring or Rackard finals but RTE did 2 or 3 times. I wish the GAA would give the rights of these competitions to TG4 because they're the only ones who would show them now. The Sunday Game didn't even mention let alone feature the 2 Christy Ring semi-finals. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 05/06/2014 15:02:04 1598653 Link 0 |
Sound lads, I tought they used to show them before all right,I'd say there won't be too many at Croker either for the games unfortunately . KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 05/06/2014 15:07:34 1598658 Link 0 |
They used to show them. There have been some very good finals. I suspect that Saturday will be pretty one way traffic with Kerry to easily cover the 8 point spread. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 05/06/2014 15:12:57 1598666 Link 0 |
Yeah Kerry should win it. Still wouldn't write off Kildare. They've shown amazing character to get this far and are no strangers to Croker either since we played a double-header at "home" there last year. Definitely wouldn't say that not coming within eight is a certainty anyway. doublehop (Kildare) - Posts: 4172 - 05/06/2014 15:56:00 1598700 Link 0 |
Last year's Ring & Rackard finals were immense! Longford didn't really turn up for the Meagher final but Warwickshire were brilliant on the day. A great day out for real hurling people. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 05/06/2014 15:57:47 1598703 Link 0 |
