While most attention on HS is reserved for the rarefied atmosphere of county football, a mention has to be given to the All Ireland Gaeltacht Football Championship, Comortas Peil na Gaeltachta which are being held this weekend in Maigh Cuilinn, Co. na Gaillimhe. Thanks Muck and well done Was looking all weekend about results but could find none. Good luck to Cill Chartha and I'd say you will be a happy man if they win and best of all ::: going to your neighbours club Ardara next year as All Ireland champions. Might make it back next year for the Finals in Ardara. SamOnErrigal (Donegal) - Posts: 1427 - 02/06/2014 10:18:39 1596554 Link 0 |
Muckross, I watched the Kilcar Moycullen game last night on tg4. I thought Kilcar were excellent. 2 questions for you; mickyrua (Donegal) - Posts: 55 - 02/06/2014 10:22:01 1596560 Link 0 |

Paddy McBrearty is carrying a slight injury but should play today. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 02/06/2014 11:09:37 1596586 Link 0 |
Is Eoin not about the same age as Ryan? Jim put Ryan in last year. Great to see some really good prospects coming through the ranks. mickyrua (Donegal) - Posts: 55 - 02/06/2014 11:42:50 1596619 Link 0 |
Jim did put Ryan in last year but Donegal were struggling with injuries & even then Ryan looked a little out of his depth. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 02/06/2014 11:53:36 1596629 Link 0 |
I agree with you to an extent in that he is a wee bit light as was Ryan last year. Murphy was thrown into the team as a minor a good couple of years ago but he was a fair size then. Fact is though Jim has no hesitation in calling up a minor. Paddy McB was in the team that played Antrim in Ballybofey in 2011 as a leaving cert. Surprised he is not even in the squad for experience, based on last night he looks like an amazing prospect. mickyrua (Donegal) - Posts: 55 - 02/06/2014 12:17:22 1596660 Link 0 |
Kilcar off to a great start with Eoin McHugh scoring a super goal MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 02/06/2014 16:14:02 1596862 Link 0 |

What a game from young Ryan McHugh. Some footballer, great points and a good goal. Eoin is not half bad either! Full back also had a good game as did 5. DLlegends (Donegal) - Posts: 503 - 02/06/2014 18:40:28 1596965 Link 0 |

Eoin is a superb footballer. When he started running they could not get near him. Ryan was brilliant too. I would be surprised if Jim doesn't call him up. Delighted watching that even though I'm a Glenfin man! The future is bright for Donegal! mickyrua (Donegal) - Posts: 55 - 02/06/2014 19:30:23 1596993 Link 0 |
Watched the games live in London and well done Kilcar. E McHugh looks quite a player , should get a chance with the county panel, I like his running style and nice and speedy also Reminds me of his old man. Would have liked to see Moinderg win but they fell a little bit short. So next year it's in Ardara and hope to be there. Would I be right in saying that Donegal will have 3 clubs in the finals next year. As hosts Ardara qualify , Kilcar as All Ireland champions qualify as should whoever wins the Donegal gaeltachta championship ,if it's Kilcar then the beaten finalists. You are right Sam, there will be 3 Donegal teams there next year. Should make for a tasty competition & Ardara will be superb hosts. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 02/06/2014 19:46:04 1596999 Link 0 |
Kingdomboy has been at silage all day but I'm pretty sure my uncles would have been watching tg4, they might as well enjoy it while they can I suppose. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 02/06/2014 20:17:36 1597013 Link 0 |
Good man kingdom, good silage this year. I was working in Kerry last week & the Kerry fields were heavy with good grass. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 02/06/2014 20:32:26 1597020 Link 0 |
