I was just wondering who do posters find interesting and reasonably fair. Only snag for the craic is ye cant name someone from your own county.
A GAA sports writer can do if none on television are appealing.

I find Donegal's Martin Carney boring(but not quite as bad as either of our own Maughan and McStay).Ger Canning, however takes the biscuit. Bring back O'Muircheartaigh.

I actually quite like Brolly, he's certainly interesting, fair? Well thats debateable but I would still rather tune into him than BBC's coverage of the Ulster Championship.

I also find Kevin Cassidy's weekly column in Gaelic Life quite interesting.

duignan is the best huring analyst by a long way.hes like giles in soccer,he can see something developing before it happens.i like mcstay in football,hes been there as a player and manager so thats invaluable.

Yeah Dara O Cinneide and the SEO spoirt gang are good. I always look out for Brolly, despite the love/hate relationship many have with him, I still like to hear what he has to say. Keith Duggan in the Times is also a good writer. I always had a soft spot of Padi when he wrote for the indo (RIP).

I like O'Cinneide. He is very professional and obviously knows what he's talking about given his background.
Brolly can be a pest on TV but his newspaper articles are quite interesting. He always has a yarn to tell and whether you agree with him or not it can be entertaining.

Colm O'Rourke is decent, always gives a fair point of view. The worse is Pat Spillane, who says things for the sake of it, without any facts. His latest one, was to claim that Louth abandoned the Blanket defence against Westmeath at HT, because it wasn't working(we were 3 points up at HT), and at no stage changed our defensive system.

O'Cinneide is excellent as is Kevin McStay and Colm O'Rourke generally. Colm is a good writer though he certainly got it wrong in his preview of the Donegal/Derry game last Sunday in the Indo. I like Brolly despite the controversies. Spillane is too Dunphyesque for my liking. As for most of the commentators I have heard better accompanying the videos of the Kildare County finals.

Analysts don't concern me too much, I generally don't see too much of them, I suppose I like the ones who aren't constantly barking for attention, the ones who are I just shut out because I find them excruciatingly boring.

Commentators are more important if you ask me because unless you're planning to watch the game on mute you're going to hear a lot more of them, I think Maloney is probably the best, Canning I find pretty good aswell but for some reason Morrissey gets on my nerves at times.

From the old days, I used to love Raymond Smith's hurling books and I have a liking for Brolly's writing (Gaelic Life). Vincent Hogan tries to copy Con Houlihan's style too much for my liking. Breheny, Sean Moran decent enough.
