I haven't seen enough teams play to be able to pick 45 worthy all stars.. I can do 3 best players that I have seen so far. Number one by a mile has been Mark Lynch of Derry, Followed by Dessie Mone from Monaghan and MD McCauley for Dublin. Farney (Monaghan) - Posts: 798 - 17/04/2014 08:24:00 1576196 Link 0 |
wow. well there you go. you see how fruitless that excercise was. if there was any decent coverage on tv of the leagues then maybe we could have an opinion on players from other divisions. from what i have been reading MDMC didn't have a very good campaign at all and only excelled in the last game. I mean looking at the stats, Conor Sweeney from Tipperary would seem to be the top forward. s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5518 - 17/04/2014 09:41:17 1576205 Link 0 |

Like the otehrs I couldn't name an All-Star team, but the following players have impressed me from what I've seen. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9072 - 17/04/2014 10:30:31 1576230 Link 0 |

Player of the league has to be Mark Lynch. peter_venkman (Down) - Posts: 320 - 17/04/2014 11:31:25 1576258 Link 0 |

Keegan and Gibbons would be the only mayo lads that would get on the team. It is a difficult thing to pick. Guys are operating at different levels. Sweeney from tipp has rattled off some big scores but he mightnt have gotten a sniff in division 1. Impossible to pick it really. Impossible really to come up with a team given the coverage of the league, most of us have only really seen our own county properly. So from a Monaghan perspective I'd say our best player has been Dessie Mone. With the league being high scoring as it was, alot of the focus was on the likes of McManus, McCarron etc, but imo Dessie was by far our best, consistently excellent throughout the league. patk (Monaghan) - Posts: 936 - 18/04/2014 13:19:00 1576702 Link 0 |
The difference in standard across the 4 leagues it would be impossible to pick an all-star league team. jacktheDub (Dublin) - Posts: 944 - 18/04/2014 14:02:45 1576720 Link 0 |
One glaring omission Brian Hurley silly me!!!!! Would have him in ahead of Kev Mc in this team jacktheDub (Dublin) - Posts: 944 - 18/04/2014 14:09:05 1576725 Link 0 |
