I won't lose sleep over it. As long as the local paper gives it coverage, which the Kerryman does in Kerry, I'm happy enough. I think this year's Christy Ring winner should be given the option of joining the provincial qualifying group next year. Tbere's going to be 5 counties in the group which means one county won't be playing each weekend. This year's Ring winner if they wished to join could easily be accommodated. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9798 - 05/05/2013 20:51:50 1379254 Link 0 |

Interesting games, would have to say the Christy Ring championship is extremely competitive. No team would fear another! It's a pity the GAA couldn't care less about it. Predictions for next round? And what are they.... No sign of them ok hogan stand givehimaboot (Kildare) - Posts: 19 - 06/05/2013 09:17:02 1379307 Link 0 |

The Christy Ring Cup started in 2005 to help the so called weaker counties. Looking at it from an ulster view the two counties who should have benefited Down & Derry have gone backwards. In saying that the standard among the top counties is poor as well Offaly, Wexford, Antrim, Limerick etc have no chance in the race for Liam. Its pretty clear Kilkenny, Tipp and Galway are the only contenders. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1800 - 06/05/2013 09:50:49 1379312 Link 0 |

players won't put in the same effort if the games are being ignored by the Croke Park officials valley84 (Westmeath) - Posts: 1931 - 06/05/2013 10:21:22 1379335 Link 0 |

In the Christy Ring Cup Round 2A, Kildare will play Meath and Derry have to make the long trip to Kerry. In Round 2B, there is an Ulster derby between Armagh and Down, while Wicklow have home advantage against Mayo. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9798 - 06/05/2013 10:52:11 1379346 Link 0 |

Any thoughts on this weekend's fixtures. I predict wins for Kerry, Down, Kildare and Wicklow. Thoughs? doubletree (Dublin) - Posts: 164 - 10/05/2013 21:24:46 1381924 Link 0 |

Any of these could be tight! Mayo won't have Higgins so I'll say Wicklow at home. Down, Kildare & Kerry. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4105 - 10/05/2013 22:00:26 1381941 Link 0 |

Derry might upset Kerry. Wouldn't be surprised if Down lose to Armagh either. Meath/Kildare a toss up and I think Wicklow will brush aside Mayo. downhurlingman (Down) - Posts: 50 - 11/05/2013 13:06:07 1382000 Link 0 |

Wicklow beat Mayo 4-19 / 3-10 so no surprises in Arklow. Armagh and Mayo are both eliminated. Any news from Newbridge? doubletree (Dublin) - Posts: 164 - 11/05/2013 17:12:06 1382127 Link 0 |
