How many GAA players in Ireland - Adult & Juvenile?

(Oldest Posts First)

Trying to settle an argument here on the amount of GAA players in Ireland. Both hurling and football, and both male and female.
(Administrators/ coaches excluded) Actual players

We are getting varying numbers

So, two questions

1. How many adult GAA players in Ireland?

2. How many underage/ juvenile players in Ireland?

Any help is a much obliged

I know there's around 7,000 clubs registered with the GAA but not sure how many of them would be in Ireland itself.

120,000 players in Ulster alone according to the Ulster Council's current development strategy. I assume the equivalent strategies for the other provinces will include their figures.
