(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Greatest of all time my list would be:

1. Current Dublin team
2. Kerry late 70s early 80s
3. Kerry 2000s
4. Galway 3 in a row
5. Tyrone 2000s

Do you realise that "all time" means since GAA football Started?

Otherwise, how can you rate Galway's 3 in a row in the 1960's (great as it was), or Tyrone's 2000's' better then Wexford's 4 in a row (1915 to 1918). or Kerry's 4 in a row (1929 to 1932), or Dublin's 3 in a row (1897 to 1899), (1906 to 1908), (1921 to 1923), or the Kerry team of the late 1930's/early 1940's?

It used to be a pub in Claremorris. It wasn't bad but Wards was livelier, better eye candy and closer to The Dalton.

There can be no debate about this.

Has to be the great Wexford team of 100 plus years ago.

Incisive half forward line and teak tough corner backs.

Its his opinion so he can pick whoever he want. I know I certainly cant comment on what happened in the early 1900s. Not much footage from them games.
Also just because teams win 3 in rows doesn't mean they are better than a team who only won 1, its all about the competition at the time.
A team like Tyrone who never won anything in a row could be better than some of them 3 in a rows as they had Armagh and Kerry to put it up to them.

It hard enough to do best team of each decade. In my time I would go:

1960's Down
1970's Dublin
1980's Kerry
1990's Down
2000's Tyrone
2010's Dublin

I'd say Galway of the 60's would have something to say about that!!
