Ger seems to be forgetting 1997, when on the night of the All-Ireland final, he tore Eamon Cregan (Sunday Game pundit) to shreds for saying the All-Ireland final wasn't a great game. Ger has history of taking pundits to task too :-)

I think Ger is wrong,the way he just be littles amatuer players is totally disgraceful,in his star column last Saturday,he previewed Clare v tipp.he said the tipp full back line would need a roundabout to turn,lads I know our full back line are slow ,but that's way to much .funny thing was the three men he laughed at all have a Celtic cross,I don't believe Ger won one on the field,you never hear the other Sunday game pundits make a laugh of players,bad darts loughnane

There's just too much irony and hypocrisy here for me to handle, as a Galway hurling fan who remembers the nonsense he pulled when we had him as manager. Ger "I'll win the AI in 2 years" Loughnane and all the pre-game BS he engaged in that only succeeded in distracting and confusing his own players.
