Páirc Uí Chaoimh this weekend

(Oldest Posts First)

This is from the GAA:

The GAA can confirm that an attendance of 30,000 is expected at Páirc Uí Chaoimh tomorrow for the GAA Hurling Quarter-final meeting of Clare and Tipperary and a crowd in excess of 30,000 is likely on Sunday for the meeting Waterford and Wexford.

Finally, attendees are advised to avoid driving to Páirc Uí Chaoimh on either day as cars will not be permitted at the stadium or in its environs.

Patrons are advised to use city centre car parks and walk or use public transport (route 202) from Merchant's Quay to Mahon Point).

Regarding Sunday's game specifically, as supporters from both countries are travelling from a similar direction it would assist the flow of traffic if motorists travelling from the Northern parts of Waterford/Wexford would use the M8 (Cork -Dublin Road).

Traffic on the N25 (Cork -Waterford) will be heavy and delays can be expected.
Match Traffic should then travel via the Jack Lynch Tunnel and take Junction 10 (Mahon) exit.

While the hurling could be great, it doesn't bode well for the travelling.
