Stephen Kelly from Limerick was one of the fastest players on the inter county scene in his pomp. Played for Ireland in the international rules, should have won at least 3 munster medals and also won a few AIL rugby medals for Shannon playing on the wing. I could be wrong but I think he also played for Cork City on the wing for a season.

Eamon Wallace from Meath. not sure if he is still playing. he was a 100 or 200 metre sprinter I think in athletics and ran for Ireland. He was very fast, scored a great goal against Tyrone a few years back. The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2088 - 18/07/2017 12:34:03 2018583 Link 0 |
Sorry who's Jimmy Kerrigan? Paul Kerrigan's brother?

You'd hardly call Kevin Mc pacy as in what the thread is meant for. Jack Mc for sure is lightning.

Jimmy is Paul Kerrigan's father? I wouldn't expect him to be as fast as he was in the past?!

Kev Mc is pacey.. Great turn of speed while having excellent control of the ball He's scored many a goal due to his pace and direct running Would you consider him not to have pace? jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 18/07/2017 13:23:58 2018616 Link 0 |

Mickey Linden was a speed merchant but a very talented, capable footballer as well. His darting, in and out runs are memorable. Superb footballer. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9702 - 18/07/2017 13:38:41 2018621 Link 0 |
Jack McCaffrey must be up there. Eoin McHugh is lightning fast. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 18/07/2017 13:41:06 2018624 Link 0 |

Yeah I was thinking of him as well. He was unbelievably fast, a nightmare to play against for an unfortunate wing back.
