No extra-time on RTE Player?

(Oldest Posts First)

So RTE didn't make allowances for the game going into extra-time tonight even though there was no other programme to be broadcast live on RTE2 and the TV broadcast showed the extra-time. Unbelievable lack of planning. Has this happened on the RTE player before?

Wouldn't they have had at least 20 minutes for after match analysis? How would they not show the extra time?

Good question. I e-mailed them to ask the same.

They replied within the hour :

Thanks for getting in touch regarding this. I understand a number of users experienced an issue where the stream cut off at 7pm. This was the case for 5-10 minutes while the time was adjusted to account for the extra time. I apologise if you missed some coverage on account of this. The full match will be up on demand shortly.

Thanks,

Fair enough. I had closed the player and found Midwest online to listen to the extra-time so it worked out grand.
