Why all GAA people should support the Dubs:

(Oldest Posts First)

This is why I'm always glad to see Dublin football prospering - it annoys the kind of people who think like this:

"I think the … GAA is a negative influence in Ireland. Many of its members closemindedness reflects poorly on our society in my opinion. Between the GAA and the church, they are two organisations the country needs to break free from."

"and what will we do with all the rednecks when they have no other purpose in life, you cant just go round taking their sticks and little balls off them"

"The ulster branch of the GAA are up there with the orange order in terms of bigotry and hatred."

"Its a laughable small minded organisation"

"you're never gonna enjoy playing a sport for a bunch of narrowminded conservative Fascists."

"The GAA is the most culchie of all of the culchie organisations, that means it is the most xenophobic, the most racist, the most homophobic, the most ignorant, the most violent, the most backwards and the most evil organisation in the history of Ireland, right alongside the Roman Catholic Church, which the GAA is of course in league with.
Unlike real sports like Hockey, Rugby and Cricket, there is no skill or athleticism necessary in Gaelic Games - in reality these sports are little more then excuses for culchies to get drunk and beat each other with sticks or fists, while their familes watch on in simple, brainless delight.
The organisation itself however is even worse - for, at its heart, the GAA is really a front for violent republican indoctrination, and children that attend GAA 'training' are taught, for hours upon end, how to create home-made bombs, how to murder and forced to revile every type of human being that is not a white catholic culchie."

"Culchie parents. They are by and large sadists and sociopaths, after all."

"The Gaa is everything we need to be getting away from. The GAA, Guinness, Gaelic, Gardí, Government, all that garbage."

"we probably still could do with some government and gardai, to protect against the enraged culchies that, bereft of their simple games, will turn their anger and aggression on real human beings like you and I."

"in the only recent past culchies did indeed inhabit hedges and bushes with their dozens of 'children', but they have since 'evolved' (snigger) and are now living in primitive 'huts' made out of mud and sticks."

"the kind of petty and bigoted organisation that the GAA is"

"badly blighted by parochial rivalry which breeds hatred for your neighbours."

Amazing the crap people write when well armed with their prejudices, a good anon username, tanked up on cans of Aldi's finest, wearing their Liverpool shirts and blowing all their spare cash on a trip to Anfield. Well if they can express their prejudices so can I.

And that's why I don't bother posting on boards.ie - those who think this board has trolls are living in cuckoo land. Here on HS we're a good natured, virtual care in the community setup to some degree, but I like it that way, boards.ie is full of tossers.

Nah don't take the bait pal, that's my advice for what it's worth. Let them sit in a darkened corner of their bedrooms w***ing their lives away in front of a keyboard if that's what makes them happy!

Think the OP wMurray atching the Francis Ledwidge episode of "Nationwide" tonight and fancied having a go at waxing lyrical.

He'll be Andy Murray next week...

I feel like I'm stating the bleeding obvious here Ormond, but to highlight the narrow minded views many have in respect of the GAA and also that boards.ie has its fair share of ill-informed undesirables?
