In today's Irish News sports writer Cahair O'Kane suggests that time-keeping should be taken out of the hands of the ref.; that we should revert to the 60 minute game but that the clock should be stopped when the ball goes dead. He believes that it would stop the 'running down of the clock' by the team in the lead towards the end of the game. (Soccer seems to be looking at a similar change). Personally I think the idea has merit. What do posters think?
