Football's C Ring, N Rackard & L Meagher

(Oldest Posts First)

I was wondering while reading about hurling's 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier cup competitions - Christy Ring, Nicky Rackard and Lory Meagher - if football were to have three equivalent cups; which three footballers would they be named after? Bearing in mind, the hurling three were all time greats, but arguably not the best three. Also, when these cups were created all three had been dead a long time.
