Hurling Qualifiers

Can anyone tell me the format for the draw for this year's hurling qualifiers? 8 teams go into draw: Tipperary, Dublin, Westmeath, Laois/Carlow, beaten provincial quarter-finalists.....Kilkenny, Limerick, Offaly and Waterford, beaten provincial semi-finalists? Who can draw whom?

Laois already drawn against Carlow for some unknown and mad reason, from what I heard!
3 Munster teams then against the 3 Leinster teams. Leaves 4 teams after Round 1 - 2 more matches with the two remaining qualifier winners playing the losing Provincial finalists in the Quarter Finals.
I'm unsure if two Munster/Leinster teams can play each other in second round of the Qualifiers. If there's 3 of either there would have to be an open draw anyway. I don't think any Qualifier team has played each other yet....

After the Carlow v Laois game, there will be 8 teams in the first round proper of the qualifiers - 3 from Munster and 5 from Leinster. According to Wikipedia, the 3 Munster teams will be kept apart so that there will be 3 Munster v Leinster clashes in the first round (with the further restriction that the remaining two Leinster teams have not already played each other). I'm not sure how reliable this source is and I have not seen the format explained anywhere else. Here is the link:

The Laois carlow game is a preliminary match and the draw was whether Westmeath ior Laois
play the Christy ring winners.

We are just happy to get a chance to advance as i nobody seemed to know whether it applied this year or next.

Yes. I just realised that. Makes sense so.

I think Laois/Carlow go to Munster side of draw but not sure

The three Munster teams will be drawn against Leinster teams. I don't think a Leinster team is necessarily put on the same side of the draw as the Munster teams. I'm guessing the last two Leinster teams face each other.

Yes that's it. The winner of Laois vs Offaly will play Kilkenny, Offaly, Dublin, or Westmeath. If Laois win, they can't play Westmeath because they've played them already AFAIK.

So the question is which Munster team draws KK? Other than that this round of games will be quite predictable.
