All Ireland JFC (Senior in Kerry and Cork)

(Oldest Posts First)

Seriously! Just seen the Kerry team to play. I struggle enough with how teams who in other Counties would be considered Senior are playing in the Club All Ireland but now see that both Kerry and Cork approach the Junior County seemingly different to the other Counties who take part. Have youse no shame down in that part of the world!!! Any wonder both Counties have the most titles. A joke.

They are right to take the approach they take to picking junior teams. It should basically be a counties second string

Most of the players in the Kerry starting lineup are under 23? Many are still U21. Kerry are using it to give these lads experience. I don't see the issue myself. Who should they be putting out?

Then call it a 'B' team not a Junior team, unless the players all play in the Junior league and championship in their county.

The club someone plays for should have no bearing on whether or not they are selected for any intercounty team

What's the problem, there are no senior players on the team. Why should they be a "b" team?

Some counties you could shout about if you were bothered. Kildare played a senior inter county player in the Leinster champ and he scored a load, Cork and Kerry don't do that. I'd say you've lost it a bit there my Northern friend. A bit of incorrect information perhaps?

I think this might be what he's referring to.

Exactly. All junior players. I don't get the point he's making.
