Cork, in one word....

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Cork, in one word....BRUTAL! No surprise there. Not taking from Waterford who were well capable of taking a Cork scalp this evening. The dogs of the road know this manager is well out of his depth for inter-county duty but players have to stand up and be counted when you have to depend on a player in the twilight of his career to come to the rescue. The League proved exactly where Cork currently stand, Div 2 or even Div 3.

We were on a hiding to nothing playing Waterford. The next day we'll be on hiding from Tipperary. Just as well as I am tired of hidings from Kerry.

Things have to hit rock bottom in Cork before they get better. Everyone in Cork bar the County Board knew that Cleary should have got the job.
No disrespect intended to Waterford but today's display by Cork was abject.
Beyond embarrassing.

Last manager capable? Nice guy....in Kerry now training young lads..... Counihan...great player...undecisive and bewildered notwithstanding 2010......Tompkins....arguably best ever player for Cork...should have won '99 final (no Corkery).....Billy....first coming passionate and great side 89 & 90 (Kerry football dead and gone)...second coming ....well ? ......Current man out of his league.....answer......import and look West for a candidate!!!

Nab Jack O'Connor from under their noses?? I couldn't see it happening but he'd be a serious coup for cork if they did manage it.

Well he looks to be set for a return to Kerry senior management from listening to any of the talk coming out of the kingdom. He must be doing something right!

Jack of connor is overated his time in Kerry coincided with a golden generation for the county. On the most recent evidence in charge of the 21's he has been average at best. He was tactically very poor against Galway. Liam Kearns should be given the chance rather than looking to the past.

I wont be fooled, I expect them to beat a strong Tipp and then we will built up into something we are not

I remember in 2006 Waterford were a missed penalty away from being level in Killarney with about 15 minutes to go before we just pulled away.

Similarily in 2014 Kerry were absolute no-hopers going into PUC after barely beating Clare vice versa 12 months later when Cork should have won against all odds in Killarney

Won't get fooled again....................
