'The Minstrel Boy' a fantastic lament written by Thomas Moore about some of his Dublin buddies from Trinity College who fought and died in the 1798 rebellion! It has become a great martial air and pipers tune adopted by the US Army too!
Type in into YouTube and the best version is actually the modern one by the late Joe Strummer as the theme song to the movie 'Black Halk Down'! Note, that a third verse was also added at some stage but was not written by Moore!
