i said it would be a different game, would you think that kildare would beat us by 10 points again?

Hopefully we will find that out in the leinster semi. If that game happens it has the potential to be a real cracker might put a bit of life into leinster championship

The 2 best teams are in the final, should be a good one.

Also some achievement by Clare to stay up.

Not bad at all, have a decent enough panel there at the moment. Had enough chances to win the game. Their defence might not be so robust when we have big men like Moolick, Byrne, Conway, Feely and Cribbin running at them next week.

Well they certainly went for it anyway. Actually think a final with Meath would serve us better in prep for Leinster campaign.

Jesus that was depressing. For so long we had the game in our hands. 4 points up with about 10 minutes to go, dropped a lot of ball into the keepers hands and messed up good scoring opportunities.

On a different note Kielt got a straight red today. It happened off the ball but during play. After the scuffle and before he got the line he took a shot. The shot went just wide. What is the protocol for that if it had went over considering he shouldnt have been on the pitch.

ya fair play to them! were galway a bit nervy?

with the teams in dv2 in 2018,meath should really be looking for promotion imo.

Were nervy enough, was expecting them to attack a lot more. Set up very defensively which I thought suited the team we had out. Actually gave us more time on the ball. The experienced men coming in second half made quite a difference for us.

Based on Meaths performances you'd have to fancy them going up next year

Looking ahead I would say all 8 trams should be in with a chance of going up.

We were nery no doubt. Our forwards who to date have been impressive had their worst performance bar Shane Walsh who caused panic in the Kildare defence with his running from deep. I thought we might have regretted the one point defeat in Navan but good consistency over recent weeks. In relation to yourselves certainly ye should be strong promotion candidates next season. It took KW his third season to get us up. I thought we might get there last year but the upside I suppose is we are a year maturer and have some really talented u21s from this year on the cusp of the senior squad.

Yeah quite a few positives to take alright. Dowling had a very good game in the middle. The subs definitely made a difference in the second half, Kelly looked very lively.

Galway didn't seem to threaten much apart from when Shane Walsh was at the heart of it, they had a couple of wides and missed one or two goal chances but we did the same ourselves. Couple of poor attempts going wide late on with a few dropping short too, surprised the free wasn't brought forward at the end - would have definitely been within Dowling or Feely's range then.

Looking forward to the league final, we should see our championship 15 starting bar Dan and Neil Flynn who will hopefully be fit come summer.

I hope your right, in fairness we should be looking to go up next year, I think that's three times in the last four years that we've finished third in Division 2

It was within Meath's reach this year and I for one dont think that Kildare or Galway are necessarily better teams than Meath.

With the list of teams to be in Div 2 next year - ye will go up. I have no doubt about it.
Another year under the current management setup will see more improvement and definitely enough to get a Division 1 spot.
