I'm not, I'm happy Meath are 14/1. That's the mortgage paid for year and a couple of holidays

Dude..

If you put a score on Meath.... You'll lose a score.

Galway are 4/1 to beat Mayo, and Mayo are 2/9,but...

I would say Galway and Meath are on the same level, whereas Dublin are a bit better than Mayo..

The odds are a bit much imo,and show a serious lack of respect.

It's not disrespectful lads. It's only betting market forces in play. The bookies aint takung chances with Dublin anymore.Especially in Leinster where our average winning margin is increasing year on year. The bookies were probably cleaned out with the handicap spreads over the last few years.I made a nice few bob myself. That is why Dublin are -13 points and 1/50.I think Dublin should be approx 1/6 to win but the markets are all askew with our dominance.

How is it a lack of respect when the market plays such a big role in determining the odds?

Bookies can't afford to get burned .
That's the reason for the odds. If Dublin were 1/ 10 on , they would have to suspend betting .
Doesn't mean Dublin are that far ahead of Meath, it means big bets are going on them if the odds are any way attractive .

I can picture it in Paddy Power now. "Here lads, lengthen those odds for Dublin to beat Meath. Our job is to give respect, not to make money"

Fair enough and fair point.

It is very disrespectful.....Dublin should be at least 1/80 :)

This would be the shock of the century if it was to happen.....no chance though......
