If you loved Breaking Bad you'll love Ozark. Ozark is like a cross between Breaking Bad and Fargo. I highly recommend.

Narcos on Netflix is excellent if you don't mind the subtitles, you forget they are even there after a minute or two, there is two separate series, one based in Columbia and one in Mexico.

Also Gomorrah on Sky is probably my favourite tv show ever, again a lot of people avoid because of the subtitles but it is absolutely addictive telly, better than breaking bad imo.

Very much holding out the hope of thoughts of sunny days in Croke Park but i think it will be difficult, more hope then logic.

This virus is going to be around until one of two things happen. We are at the end of beginning and there will be a surge in April, all leave canceled where i work until the end of April - (at least id say). Places in Dublin creaking a bit yesterday, for resources, both PPE and human, 25% of my team have got the virus or have had to self isolate, fair play to anyone who has been able to advance rota with certainty, its been impossible and challenging here. A big drain is that the virus has many symptoms similar to other infections, so if someone spikes a temperature and shows symptoms of any infection, breathlessness etc its very similar to the virus and has to go on full droplet precautions i.e. using full PPE for their clinical care, that is a huge draw on resources. The lag in getting testing and getting results isnt helpful either as it prolongs this. Its very hard and very stressful for patients their families to. Say a prayer that all the flights arrive and PPE arrives and is up to snuff, its a worry. Not to be to downhearted everyone where i am in the health service has been great, redeployment's, flexibility, coming in at scheduled time off etc, a lot of creativity and good will. People are knackered and at times worried and stressed but committed and determined to. Anyhow hope everyone's getting on well at home, i'm sure its a stressful time for everyone given jobs and uncertainty around the economy for the rest of the year.

Think the GAA are doing terrifically well to do all they can, during this, the local community support for those vulnerable in the community has been brilliant, some of the players doing the skills workshops online has been really good to. The use of the stadiums for testing has just been brilliant. It warms the heart to see the GAA and its members going all out and being at the heart of the community, its that type of community support that keeps people going in my opinion, you need to see the visible community to be able to fight for it.

My concern around the loss of the championship to be honest is the materiel and financial impact on the GAA and what that means for the games holistically. Public health is obviously priority, but the GAA is a non for profit organisation and largely relying on gate and gate led commercial revenue and sponsorship for turnover just south of 75 mill. If the GAA doesn't have the championship, the massive drop in revenue will impact the game from county all the way down grassroots. If there is no money then there is no distribution to anyone and that will have an impact, what type remains to be seen but it would be tough. Maybe the GAA need to be creative maybe forgoing this years and next years, league and playing two short knock out championships, but it depends on public health, its hard to see a business model without a gate. So the GAA nationally might be heading for a very tough time in my option. It is however a distant priority right now.

As an aside, there was an April fools joke going around Dublin, that the club championship was canceled during the week. The DCB were in touch to tell those very involved in their clubs, that this was bogus and that Club championship would be going ahead as planned. Probably doesn't mean much, but maybe an insight and indication of thinking internally in the GAA.

Some good news if you can call it that is that the country's that have had the BCG administered are less likely to experience major mortality rates.

On the ones to watch front.

Try
Line of duty and stranger things if you haven't seen them yet.
Both we'll worth a look.

The exorcist series was very good as well.

And American horror story, the second season frightens the shit out of me where a young lad on a farm gets posesed and being a farmer myself it was a bit too close to home if you know what I mean.

Never really look at the horror stuff or I'd be up all night.
Sure yeer all kinda possessed in Kerry anyway.
That "supernatural " is a bit more on the light side but you'd have your fill of it after a while.
Those two I mentioned are a couple of the best I've watched in the last few years.

Anyone else think that it's out of order for Hoganstand to allow this type of uninformed horse manure to be published on this website/forum?

This type of misinformation is not harmless gossip, It undermines, gets in the way and blurs understandings of accurate information from trusted sources. If this kind of nonsense took hold you'd have people getting complacent on the basis of their BCG and putting themselves and others at risk.

But it's not "uninformed horse manure".

Some people say this virus came from a Chinese Lab, some say from people in China eating exotic animals like bats, some say the pandemic is 5G related, some say it is related to the Suns major Solar Storms, etc.

I'd rather hear and read what's out there rather than some biased source controlling the whole script. Let people make up their own minds.

Stay safe.

Since when has science been "biased"?

Is this what you want to hear?

A DUP councillor has said that the current global pandemic has been caused by Northern Ireland legalising gay marriage and abortion.

Demoratic Unionist Party member John Carson, who is a councillor based in Ballymena, County Antrim, has previously voiced his anger at Northern Ireland having legalised equal marriage and abortion services, with his party campaigning against both.

On Tuesday evening, 31 March, he took to Facebook to say that that God has brought coronavirus to Earth in order to punish the people of Northern Ireland.

You're obviously one of the brigade who would prefer something a bit more sensational than based in science.

Good man iv a lot of stuff there to keep me going now till the football is back.

I love the horror stuff, we used to drive each other mad when we were young watching them and then daring each other to go down to our grand parents old derelict house which was supposed to be haunted.

We're all old piseógs down here.

Nonsense. I'll take my advice from the WHO, HSE and CMO and not from the gobsheens and half wits on here, and elsewhere in the media, quoting attention seekers who, just as you accuse me of, are looking for something a bit more sensational than based in science.

In the hands of the likes of you, a little bit of information is a dangerous thing. So, My advice to you is, stay indoors and shut up.

The exorcist series was not good. It completely dried up ( in a manner of speaking) the demand for laxatives.
