We only do private jets in the winter. Flew into Farranfore last Feb, callsign D4IAR, changed to D5IAR for next year.

Well if you were at the match in February you would know that the roads around Killarney and Tralee are perfect ;-)

Been there many times KB, on duty with the Dubs and for holidays. Give me Killarney over Tralee any day. Beautiful part of the world and great craic.

Mayo have spent more some years due to the massive logistical costs associated with sending a team to the capital city 5/6 times in the height of summer/September...all those replays...The vast majority of course collected from fundraising of which I think everyone in mayo gave something at the time. It's not that hard to figure out. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11219 - 18/10/2019 17:35:39 2244274 Link 11 |

Would this relate to vouched nutrition allowance that came in around that time ?

Poor aul Dubs having to live off a couple of bowls of coddle and a sliced pan from aul Mr Brennan each day. Seriously though, €250K is a lot of bread, pun intended! Joxer (Dublin) - Posts: 4698 - 22/10/2019 15:59:52 2244989 Link 6 |

Mayo GAA have, however, said that "as a matter of urgency that all commercial and sponsorship deals are confidential between the parties. What we can confirm is that the current main sponsorship represents a significant investment annually for Elverys when the baseline figure and performance bonuses are included. It is one of the largest sponsorships in the GAA." TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4441 - 22/10/2019 21:33:52 2245079 Link 3 |

Look at the carry on in the Dáil. With expenses. RTE are making big losses, so say due to the big ego's involved. Irish rugby has got millions upon millions from the taxpayer too. Point I am making is why single out the GAA. Connacht rugby has just got 20 million from Irish govt. And where is their scutiny? galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2513 - 31/10/2019 11:11:25 2246747 Link 1 |
It's pretty hard for some to get their head around this though. If Mayo had been playing 90% - 100% of their championship matches in Croker including league semis and finals in Mayo they'd have spent far less.

Can't understand why the very generous individual involved is still hanging in there particularly in the way he has being insulted & his reputation damaged by members of the Mayo County Board. To play songs in reference to the case & deem it has light hearted humour when it's insulting to a individual who has handed over a six figure sum from his own pocket just shows the level of disdain these officials have for sponsors. Time for him to pull the plug & leave them to their cloak & dagger economics. This man deserves more than being openly mocked.

Get lost with your slagging. How much money is Connacht Rugby getting from the taxpayer. Millions.

Due to legal restraints, those who attended last night's Mayo County Board meeting were told, in a prepared statement, that it could not respond to issues that have been raised by the Mayo Supporters Foundation. No questions were allowed by delegates to the prepared statement, on the grounds that the County Board had taken legal advice on the emails received from the Mayo Supporters Foundation. The board met last night to discuss recently highlighted governance issues between it and the foundation, which resulted in the foundation withholding a quarter of a million euro raised for Mayo GAA at a function in New York last May. The county board will meet again on Monday night next at 7.30 to discuss the matter further, however, the media will not be permitted to attend. John Melvin of the Connaught Telegraph told Midwest News this morning that "the whole saga has gone into extra time". TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4441 - 31/10/2019 17:35:35 2246860 Link 3 |
Your a very confused individual, no where am I slagging anyone, you don't seem to be able to read posts or grasp what's said. The relavence of Connacht Rugby to this post is nil, except to a Walter Mitty type character.
