Are the defending Munster Champions still in this thing? You wouldn't know it by reading the thread.

Well, you obviously haven't read the thread, have you?

Cork - if Kingston was still in charge I'd have Cork as a shoe-in for the top 3 and for them to be better than last year.

Think top three will be Tipperary, Cork and Limerick, think Waterford and Clare will lose out.
cityman73 (Limerick) - Posts: 265 - 16/05/2018 22:05:12

I am not saying whether Limerick will win anything this year, …but as they [Clare] failed to beat Cork in their last away game I am not confident they will beat Tipp in Thurles. Even if they do so they will have to possibly beat Limerick and then Cork or Waterford to win Munster. Oldtourman (Limerick) - Posts: 1493 - 06/06/2018 09:40:47

If Limerick take it easy against Clare next week they might not be in a Munster Final. If Cork and Clare win then they are in the Munster Final on 6 points each The_Bull (Cork) - Posts: 234 - 10/06/2018 22:31:02 2109627

If Cork win next week they are through no matter what happens.
it's about Limerick, Clare, Cork and Galway this year.... they are all fine teams and would make mouthwatering All Ireland semi finals! katser (Galway) - Posts: 62 - 12/06/2018 10:59:38

Totally incorrect. The bones of the 2013 Cork team is still playing. They reached the 2014 and 2015 Munster finals as well and were and are good. PeggyShippen (Limerick) - Posts: 251 - 12/06/2018 18:10:59

Anyway, at the end of the day, we all know deep down, come the first Sunday in September. It'll be Cork v Kilkenny.

It will hardly matter what Condon gets, as he will never play for Limerick again and definitely should not have been brought on before Hickey or McCarthy.

Hickey was poor before he went off injured. His best days are probably behind him sadly.

Condon will get the arbitrary one game ban and be back in time for the quarter final, it's the Munster Council after all.

richie mc is the most old school hurler playing the game.plays for the gallery and the big roar to the big clearance.
that is not how the game is played any more.

He's a better fullback then anyone Wexford has. He kept the Kilkenny full forward scoreless last year in Nowlan Park. He's better than Hickey and Bigger than Casey. Any of those 3 would get in Wexfords first 15

Well the occasional long clearance could also be beneficial as the five of the forwards that lined V Cork are 6'3'' or over and apart from that Ritchie can also give very effective short passes. He is certainly not one dimensional

Hard believe it's 20 years since Clare won a Munster title....hope they win it. If they did, the year would be a huge success whatever happens after that

Great game - Conlon for Clare is terrific and Duggan's over head goal was sublime, Cork are playing well too - should be cracking second half

Better team won on the day. Cork have leaders all over the field and hopefully will go all the way this year.

Can posters now wake up to Corks quality. They are a top team and deserve a little credit. They've just done back to back Munster Cups which are hard to win as Leinster team winning an All Ireland.

Patrick Horgan performance was breath taking ...he is such and incredibly skillful player. We have produced a lot of great players over the years and lots of great characters. I never saw Ring play. Only saw the end of JBM. This guy is up there with any of them. At the start of last year, people in Cork were talking about getting rid of him. But he has bounce back and has been brilliant. He is brilliant with his club too. We have other very good players but if Horgan is on that form, Cork are half way to winning.

I wouldn't agree with your assessment of the refereeing. The ref wearing the colours of one of the teams playing should have been a clue.
I thought that ref was very hard on Cork today.
