Beano was magic, saw moves ahead of everyone else. What he didn't have was Clifford's athleticism, size, strength and pace to combine with what was going on upstairs with Beano.

Unfortunately the bad leg injury v Tyrone in 2004, being over played as a minor meant Beano never became the senior star he should have been. Then he hadn't a team around him like Kerry or Tyrone at the time.

great question...and plaudits to Dublin if they are able to keep their best young talent. Shame the rest of the county teams are not in a position to do this. some great talent is being lost to the AFL these past few years. yes, i know a lot come back but its fairly sickening for smaller counties to see their future stars lost for a few years when they could be planning to build a team around these players if they stayed in Ireland.

I think he can play because he is in his last year of minor ...... He wont play doh

Minors can not play senior inter county football or hurling.

He hasn't played much but what games he has played he's put up big scores.

After watching yesterday totally convinced correct decision to to play the young man , he'd have been battered , Kerry did right by him , will walk into that team when it's the right time.

Only a better stronger more powerful version if you ask me.

I nearly always agree with Damo but, if the rules allowed, i actually think he'd hold his own yesterday. Maybe it's fantasy on my part.

Some player no doubt, one of the best I've seen at minor. But those who called for him to play yesterday (can't under new rules anyway) need to wake up. Let him develop. Minor to senior is a huge step up, he'll not have anything close to the space he gets at minor level, never mind being up against some battle hardened minds. And what would it have been like if he was in that match yesterday (if it was allowed), that would have stunted him. Give him a few years at U20s and then build a team around him as he makes his way and gets settled at senior. Hopefully that is if the GAA don't lose him to Aussie Rules
