I think the fact that you made a cliche statement about going missing (when he never did) answered you own question also not one person has agreed with you. Again I will state Connor Gillespie was a great midfield player, his career cut short where he is unlikely to ever play club football again never mind county , and to have a keyboard warrior try to rewrite his short but very good service to the game , is pathetic especially when it is blatantly untrue

Gillespie was playing very well for Meath before his injury and a massive loss to county. Strange comment on his ability

Where to start with that referee today. He ruined the game. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 12/02/2017 16:46:15 1955319 Link 0 |
Fair play, I had no faith in them but well done to the royals and even more so, Kildare, they'll be in better fettle than normal going into the summer, and with us 'waning' they could strike!

Well done enjoy the winnings. I had hoped for a response from last week and without Graham Reilly this win is the perfect tonic. However Meath supporters have got to stop getting at Meath players for keeping possession time and again in first half there was a chorus of let it in , ahh jasus what you doing, it's not basketball etc etc , some players actually went with a kick pass 50/50 ball under pressure from the crowd, much to annoyance of Andy mcentee, we were playing into a gale force wind , holding Derry to only a 2 point lead at HT was a good return, the wind in second half was always going to help, as much as it may not be my cup of tea, the modern game is as much about stopping opponent from scoring as it is about scoring yourself, they can't score if they haven't got the ball, that was clearly the plan for first 35 then kick on with wind assist in second. So fellow royals calm down when we holding possession it's all part of what the game has become., while we may have arrived late to this concept, we need to trust Andy and co to bring us kicking and screaming Into 2017. Well done to all today. But tougher tests await. Hon the royal royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 12/02/2017 18:42:33 1955470 Link 0 |

Eoin black carded for being stronger Quigley booked for kicking a ball away Didn't see the red but players reactions suggest it was wrong call. Wide given as a point The list could go on gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 12/02/2017 19:48:23 1955533 Link 0 |
despite my team winning today,I thought the ref and linesman for that matter were awful in the Meath game today.Once again refs seem to have different interpetations for the black card too. It also seemed that Derry could hit hard but Meath could not.It was refreshing to see this from Meath.. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 12/02/2017 20:07:39 1955562 Link 0 |
In fairness both sides suffered although your card had a big impact. Damian Comer got nothing from the ref in the first half. For the last 10 to 15 mins the ref tried to reverse this by giving us some decisions. Although far from the finished article we showed character and a consistent edge to our play.

He was black carded for mouthing. Since January it's now a black card offence. And hopefully if it could be stuck to by all refs it might cut out a lot of the flack they take. I think kicking the ball away isn't a yellow card offence unless it's a second offence. No idea about the red. Couldn't see it but it looked like handbags. Probably harsh. Galway couldn't buy a free in the first half despite probably deserving a few.

I see the black card is now been reported for dissent. Yet Fermanagh were on the attack and scored from it so why would there be dissent?

I know it's a thankless job but there has to be some sort of accountability

Have no idea what happened in this game but I was under the impression that a captain could speak to the ref. without getting sent off
