My team for the coming year would be;

1Kelly
2O'Brien
3Cleary
4Morey
5O'Connor
6McInerney
7Fitzgerald
8Galvin
9McCarthy
10Conlon
11Kelly
12P.Duggan
13Collins
14O'Donnell
15McGrath

Shanahan a possibility at midfield instead of mccarthy maybe
(Possibly swap Cleary and O'Connor)

i'd like to have reidy and tots o'connell very close to that as well but i dont want to have too many small players in there. Niall Deasy had a promising performance against kerry so it will be interesting to see how he develops. Bobby duggan really needs to step up to his potential this year.

Shanagher is a massive loss to us this year.

I think Donal Touhy way ahead of anyone else as a stop stopper.
Oisin O Brien no way good enough hurler, still struggling with injury, Cadogan in the Munster Final put paid to the idea of him being best man marker around, I know he was coming back from injury and all that but he is really so limited.

I always think that Paul Flanagan got a bad deal maybe not the fastest but very skilled Jack Browne still prone to stupid fouling its either no 5 or nowhere for him i think.

I think that Jason McCarthy might do at corner back but ooh his discipline the idea of Cleary i like at full back David
Mc Inerney far better hurler and distributor at C Back.

Seanha Morey is so good he could play anywhere he can carry the ball at such speed {corner back/midfield anywhere really)

Galvin alleged to be going Dubai anyway no way could you leave out Reidy they did last year and paid the price he is one off our best hurlers now.

Jamie Shanaghan lovely hurler great striker albeit a bit slow I would have him at Centre Forward and put John Conlon full forward with O Donnell & Conor McGrath.
Sadly i now think Podge is greatly diminished and will will struggle to make any further impact.

Peter Duggan could well be the man in 2018 leave him on frees sidelines ect he loves being stuck in every thing he has to get a serious game timer this year

I know its awful harsh but Cathal Malone wont do thats my opinion anyway needs 6 shots to score 1

All the main contenders have players that could strike a score inside a phone box especially Tipp

I definitely think you are being extremely harsh on oisin o'brien, it was clear for everyone to see that he was brought back into the team too soon against cork. He was really lackibg match sharpness, plus when he was marking a player as quick as cadogan - it would have been tough enough for a fit player to mark him.

Oisin has proved several times that he is a top class man marker - and you are being totally unfair in basing your argument on one game when he was just back from a pretty serious injury!!

As you'll see from the team named - galvin is on the panel this year. You might be right about podge unfortunately, if so i would play reidy instead of him. Definitley wouldnt play both of them in the same team!!

I do like the ideas of shanahan in the half forward line and conlon at full forward to be honest!!

Fair enough point on Oisin O Brien just for me i don't see what you see in him but i wish him well and hope he makes full recovery.

Good to win a couple of games in this Munster league i know it's not rated but gives opportunity to have a look at players
Cover at the back is still a pressing problem and we need a settled half back line now leave David McInerney at cb

Midfield now seems to have a good few options although they are all light nippy players ooh for a Mick Fennelly to place beside Galvin Reidy Kelly or perhaps Taylor

We do have options in the forwards and perhaps Daragh Corry/Niall Deasy /Bobby Duggan might make the breakthrough this year.

I think the two lads as managers are far better off on their own without all this bull***** tactics hurl off the cuff play a three man full forward line with O Donnell & McGrath been fronted by a strong full forward Conlon/P Duggan/Deasy maybe.

The Munster League Final was a damp squib yesterday with Limerick far more Pyhsical team its very early in year but from looking at game yesterday we have problems to solve

Andrew Fahy in goal has no save to make and has a good slap on a ball but surely he must know that landing puck after puck down on Limericks half back line wasen't working can no goalie not drill a ball to a midfielder with accuracy.

Ryan Taylor and Colum Galvin tried hard at midfield but were second best with Ryan being replaced

Niall Deasy offers a presence on puckouts but looks a bit lacking in pace but he deserves a bit of a run Tony Kelly dident want to know yesterday layed off balls he could have taken on and scored he has to learn the Kilkenny way where the top players always performed.

Full back line under a lot of pressure Cleary did ok I think Pat O Connor has to go Wing Back not pacey enough for current day corner back Jack Browne will he ever learn ?? got yellow carded then 2 minutes later got anoyher yellow/red

We had Podge DOD & Tots in the full forward line all dandy hurlers but need target man with them were totally brushed aside on a wed widy day.

Cathal Malone our best forward yesterday but his striking very rakeish.
Darragh Corry has good potentail selectors need to have a good look at him big man
