Replying To Wedgie:  "I think that's a bit harsh not to mention disrespectful of the efforts both teams put in to these games. While some might argue that your CB might have moved a bit quick in declaring that they were going to turn up in Newry to fulfill the originally planned re-fixture, your players acted with nothing less than grace and class at all times, let's not forget they were victims in this fiasco too.
It must have taken real guts to pick themselves up after the initial disappointment and turn up yesterday to put on a display that any hurling supporter would be proud of, they never stopped trying and were only beaten by the puc of a ball. They're a fantastic team and they showed it, we could just as easily be waking up a different result today, whatever the criticism from some quarters that group of players can hold their heads up high, you haven't heard the last of them, they'll definitely be back."
yea but when you know players who book holidays abroad before a championship match its all you need to know really.

Bottlers bottle it again. Antrim should give up hurling.

After yesterday's dogged display against the ever improving Carlow Senior Hurlers there's every reason to be optimistic,Anyone who's followed Antrim Hurling will know that they always take their own game to a new level against higher quality opposition & have a huge opportunity next season to continue their progress back to the top table

Great result yesterday for Antrim after a miserable couple of years. I honestly expected Carlow to beat us.

It was vital that we got promoted this year as Div 2 is going to be very difficult to get out of next year with Kerry, Carlow, Westmeath, Kildare, Meath & London involved.

Next priority for Antrim is to win the Christy Ring cup that we should have won last year and get back into the Leinster chmpionship.

Is Antrim going to be able to beat Carlow for a third time, personally I don't believe they are. Carlow have moved up a gear by all accounts and that is worrying from an Antrim point of view.

On what evidence do you base your prediction?

Antrim should never have beaten Carlow last time out and by all accounts Carlow have had a good run up to the final where they have got players back. Compare that to Antrim who have lost a number of lads including McKernan and McKenna, who are super hurlers and the kind of lads that play with their heads up.
I do hope the Safrons are successful dont get me wrong!!

Brian - Antrim did beat Carlow last time out and judging by their scoring have also progressed.
The reality is that players will come and go at county level for many different reasons, and Antrim have not stalled as a result.
I have no doubt that we are in for another keenly fought contest but there is absolutely no reason why we should not go into the match with confidence in our own ability.

Hard luck today lads, seems ye met a Carlow side were in top form today, a very entertaining match with both sides playing an open attacking game. On another day it could be different, very gracious Antrim supporters, after the game who hope fully will have a better result on the next day
