A mention too for Coláiste Ailigh in Letterkenny, who have won the o'doherty cup (D). Next after Markey. They are through to the All-Ireland final next week.

Replying To Texas:  "Carnonagh Community School are the 2018 Markey Cup Champions, having just beaten St. Columba's, Stranorlar 3-8 to 1-10 in O'Donnell Park, Letterkenny.

St. Columba's were up 1-10 to 1-7 with 10 minutes to go, but a goal two minutes from time from Conor O'Donnell sealed the win. O'Donnell had 1-6 on the day.

Hard luck to St. Columba's, but congratulations to Carndonagh's seniors on becoming Ulster Champions in both gaelic football and soccer this year. Fantastic achievement."
Disappointing that no umpires or neutral linesmen appointed/appeared for a provincial final... both teams deserved better.
Referee and scoreboard keeper did their best but confusion at half time when their respective scores did not tally.

Thanks Texas. Am I right in thinking there are 2 Conor O'Donnells around the same age group, one in Letterkenny and the Conor O'Donnell who scored 1-6 today?"
You are indeed. The other Conor O'Donnell actually scored 1-3 in the MacLarnon Cup Final there on Monday for St. Eunan's, and has played county underage. I'm fairly sure Conor O'Donnell at Carndonagh plays his club football with Urris.

Final score from windy Abbotstown:
St Declans, Kilmacthomas 2.10 - Carndonagh Community School 1.11
Hard luck on CCS , came back well from 1.6-0.4 down at HT to lead 1.10-1.07 with 10 mins left, missed a penalty mid way through second half. Tough one to lose as they were good enough to go all the way.

The one from Carndonagh. Got a point from midfield if memory serves

Yes that is the one. He was excellent in the 2nd half and extra time in that game against Antrim. Along with Mogan really lead the team. I watched the St Eunans game on Monday. They should have won especially not taking an easy point at the end. The 2 players who linked up for that chance both O'Donnells look really good players. I am guessing Shane is a brother of Niall? Both are almost identical in their style and movement. Though one minor criticism of Shane the last day was his decision making let him down a couple of times. Apart from that looked just as promising as Niall.

St Eunans lost the McLarnon final by a point after extra time in the replay. From the sounds of it they definitely could have won it too. They left it behind them the first day though. A great performance from Shane O'Donnell with 9 points.

Tough defeat for them after giving so much. No doubt they should have won last Monday.

Scant consolation for St Eunans today after Holy Trinity won the Paddy Drummond Cup in emphatic style in Croker today. Followed up another emphatic win in the semi final against Kenmare. St Eunans should have one the first match no question and arguably the replay especially when they conceded 2 goals, one a pen and the other a soft goal to give away. Got to admire the Tyrone underage sides. When they get out of Ulster they show no fear and know how to get the job done when it comes to adding a national title to a provincial one.

St. Eunan's are back in the MacRory Cup - the top tier of Ulster Schools football this year. Started off with a win against Patrician High School from Carrickmacross, 2-08 to 2-05 today.

Be interesting to see how they do against the elite grammar schools from the North. Think it's been 11 years since they were last involved, when Michael Murphy was still there.
