Someday only for Clem Smith doing John Mullane we would have been beaten. Begley made a mockery of the Waterford full back, Hartley? Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 16/05/2014 16:33:46 1588666 Link 0 |
Correct someday Wateford were 2-06 to 0-01 up and Limerick went on their own riot after that. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 16/05/2014 16:39:59 1588671 Link 0 |

One that springs to mind is 2001 qualifier v Donegal. Kildare down 1-5 early on. Came back to KildareKelly (Kildare) - Posts: 593 - 16/05/2014 18:01:07 1588704 Link 0 |
Old timers would say that Wexford's comeback from 16 points down in league final against Tipp in 1955 (?) was the greatest of all. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 16/05/2014 19:22:01 1588729 Link 0 |

Funny you say that WP, i think Shaughs and Begley got early goals and i was thinking we will give them one today as ye had a shocking league also. Only for Redser we would have been beaten 20 points that day, he kept us in it! :-)))))))))))) Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 16/05/2014 20:06:03 1588742 Link 0 |

What about the 1974 Ulster final, Down vDonegal Wasn't at the game but I think Donegal were something like 12 points down at one stage but came back to draw. In the replay Donegal were behind again ( was it nine points) but came back to win with a last minute goal. Can anybody give the true story of the two games?? But to do it not once but twice was some comeback. SamOnErrigal (Donegal) - Posts: 1427 - 17/05/2014 08:45:29 1588800 Link 0 |

Kerry V Cork in All Ireland football semi final in 2009/2010 I think. Cork were 7 points down with 4 or 5 minutes to go. They got a goal, and then a peno, and scored, they then got a point to level. Or something along those lines. This was against a really great Kerry team. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2518 - 12/03/2018 07:31:14 2083773 Link 0 |
actually it was the 2008 All Ireland semi final on 24th August, between Kerry and Cork. The final score was Kerry 1-13, Cork 3-7. A draw. Cork came from 7 points down with 5 minutes to go. Against a really good Kerry team. Kerry won the replay. But lost the final to Tyrone. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2518 - 12/03/2018 07:37:34 2083776 Link 0 |
