1355966 Well done to Tyrone yesterday, I was impressed by how hard they work for each other and they are very good at dispossessing a player if he takes the ball into contact. I lost count of the number of times a Kildare player lost the ball in these situations. Also Tyrone picked off some nice points, sometimes from very acute angles. As for Kildare I doubt if Kieran McGeeney will lose any sleep over the loss. It struck me yesterday by the team he put out (and some of the substitutions) that he wasn't too anxious about the result. For instance I can't see Roly Sweeney, Rob Kelly, the O'Flahertys featuring on the starting team against Offaly. I'd imagine the following will be his team for the Championship - Connolly, Lyons, Foley, McGrillen, Bolton, Kelly, Doyle, Flynn, Hurley, Dan Flynn, Callaghan, Cribbin, Johnston, O'Connor, Doyle.
Would you not include Niall Kelly ?

Can't see Daryll Flynn featuring either. He has had no game time in the League yet so I can't see him getting any in championship either.

Niall Kelly looks a cracking footballer, I'd have him in most half forward lines in the country.

Good to see Kildare make the semi finals. There are a lot of anti Kildare posters on here (goes with out saying where most of them are from) who put them down at any chance they get

Certain people ain't got a clue. It's comical and at the same time uneducated when one's say Donegal not at the tempo of last year. March 2012 ( Donegal 4pts from 6 games) Donegal 2013- the very same. As I said on our forum, these are amatuers, Jim ain't naive enough to want them peaking this early. Clondalkin Dub- may I remind you Cork won three leagues in a row and returned on Sam in that time. Whether we win it or not in 2013, we will def be in last 4 .

TheRightStuff nothing is "def" in sport, unless you are psychic ,its a silly statement to say donegal will def be in the last 4, anything thing can happen ,injuries, loss of form ,bad refereeing decisions bad luck etc.

Exactly, how could they be? If what you described happens it would more than likely be monaghan who top the league, how in God's name even if we beat them in "final " could meath call themselves div 3 champions? If by some miracle we top group then yes we would be, but otherwise no, take Westmeath for example if they win next game they will be only team not to have been beat, so therefore are div 2 champion if they lost "final" they wouldn't be,? The only team in country not to be beat, Its either a league or a knockout, this is why the league is held in such low regard as a competition, how oh how could a team who finish fourth be considered champion of div 1,??
No I just wanted to clarify what you were saying. I don't like the league finals at all. The finals are only there so the Gaa can recieve more income nothing more. Promotion for second place should be good enough rather than a league final.

Therightstuff come on man your all Ireland champs surely you expect more from your team than what we've seen so far?? So you do think the same work rate is there as last year? If I were a Donegal supporter I'd be a little bit worried but maybe I'm wrong. It's all about opinions on a forum and I'm giving mine wether I'm right or wrong. Hey Muck are you ready for the Dubs to give yous another beating? I reckon yous will do well in division 2 next year.

I think the only 'def' in GAA is Dublin will play all their championship games at home (granted they keep winning in Leinster, which they will because er...they're playing at home)

We won't show our full hand v's Donegal but i'm expecting a strong and competitive Dublin performance nonetheless. Hopefully its a decent day weather wise and we can have a good laugh with our northern friends before we get down to the serious stuff!

Surely Donegal will win this game, first of all they have to if they want to make semis. dubs will more than likely play a 'b' team be silly to risk big players.

In fairness Donegal have actually played slightly better this year in the league if you were to look at their performance in the National league last season. The points may have been the same going into the last game against Armagh, but overall they have mostly played better this season. However I'd say most Donegal fans were upset by Sundays performance against Mayo, The sloppy passes and needless giving away of possession. Michael Murphy was as guilty of this as any player, and they clearly have a lot of work to do before the massive Tyrone game.
I think both sending off's were soft. While I can understand that they are not maybe fully sharp, they don't have the luxury of Cavan and Derry to ramp up to Tyrone this year. They have 2 months to get up to speed, or else they will face a long trip through the Qualifiers.

for me a league is run over the 7 games so all seven should count ahead of one match in deciding the positions in the table.I feel it penalises teams who have consistently performed over the entireity of the league if you dont count scores from all games. look It was a simliar scenario for dublin themselves in 2010 we really finished second in the table but cork and mayo played the league final due to cork feilding their c team against mayo on the last day of the league rounds,we all would rather teams dont do this but they have done the hard work in the other games so they are entitled to put out what teams they like once they have done the work to get to where they need to be at the end of the day. with regards brennan yes i agreed he was stupid in getting involved but what anybody fails to look at was it actualy should have been a dublin free out as a mayo player took a dublin defender out of play with a third man tackle preventing him from tackling the player on the ball right in front of the ref, this is robably the reason brennan reacted in this way.yes i agree both should have been sent off but again this is not the first time this year that a dublin player is the only player to see red,it happened against kildare in the o byrne cup final and it happened in kerry too thats my point.
