agree with clondalkin about the ref how on earth do these refs keep getting games though is what needs to be looked at,what does pat mcenanney actualy watch in the refs performances? the guy unched him in the face and somehow with the rule stating its a red card for a strike he only gives yellow yet ger brennan done far less couple weeks ago and got a red.refs have been so blatatnt with decisions its unreal this year the kerry match was another example, mccauley gets red and donaghy yellow for both striking each other!!! if they do the same offence how can one get away with it?
on the match itself i have to say it was disaapointing to see the last of the ulster teams who played good football now gone the way of the rest as down set out with 14 men in their own half despite playing with the wind very similiar to kildare and yet when dublin got the goal and went 5 points ahead and a defeat and relegation staring them in the face they continued to play the same way, makes no sense at all!!!
we are certainly getting enough experiance at having to play against this donegal style all out defence in this years league so can only be agood thing come championship.thaught connolly was poor on the frees again, but cooper was outstanding hes definatly got to be in the team come championship.
cian o sullivan had another very good game in centrefield and mannion mixed the good with the bad up front but played the bernard brogan role well as the target man he won nearly every ball played into him.cluxton in goal made a world of differance with his kickouts too.

Its ridiculous that TG4 arent showing the Cork Kerry game, was looking forward to it.

Last years All Ireland final teams should be rightly be shown instead. Although it would suit Cork and Kerry fans to have it on the TV as there not the best at attending games for counties with big populations. Maybe all there success there sick of going to games.

To say it was a scrappy first half would be generous.

Quite frenetic so far. Some strange reffing decisions though, what happened with the carolan interception? Can anyone shed some light on that one? Also, Doherty seemed to be called for catching a ball. Even the players didnt seem to know what was going on. He does seem to be trying to let them get on with it though, which is a plus.

Poor enough game so far. 3 black card would be the total so far in my opinion. Aidan O'Se and Colm Boyle from Mayo and McHugh from Donegal. The redhands seem to be going ok in Newbridge

You're a gas man Hillman. Whilst Harrison should have been sent off to say it was worse than Brennan who came in with a high tackle, kicked out at the player holding the ball on the ground and elbowed another in the face is hilarious

If Kerry and Mayo win it will make for a very interesting final set of games, Kerry, Mayo, Donegal and Down will all be fighting to stay up.

If Mayo win here I'm pretty sure Down are relegated today (Although not mathematically)? It's confusing, but even if Donegal, Mayo and Kerry are beat next weekend and Down win (All four teams would end up with 4 points in this case), each of these teams has beaten each other so it'll come down to score difference in which Down have my far the worst, and therefore whoever has the second worst scoring difference will be relegated along with Down.

Great win for the redhands today, definitely surpassed expectations to date and that winning mentality will serve them well for the season ahead, especially for the Donegal game.

Disappointing result for Kildare. Wasn't at the games but the stats on the radio were crazy. 16 missed shots in this second half between wides & shots dropped short by Kildare. So I suppose while people have said we were lucky to win some of our previous games by the same measure Tyrone were lucky today. A lot of changes in the forwards but it's imperative that O'Connor, Leper and Smith get as much game time as possible. Right now we are unbelievably reliant on the Under 21's. The senior forwards coming in right now are not playing at a level they are capable of. It should be down to Kelly, Flynn, Brophy or even Hurley and Cribbin today to carry the team.

Still a semi-final beckons which almost certainly be against Dublin as we are guaranteed third (Dublin need to get a better result in Donegal than Tyrone do in Kerry to move out of second). Another match-up in Croke Park will be very strange that close to the championship.

I'm not sure you can consider Tyrone lucky because Kildare couldn't shoot. The game was effectively over at half time and that is two hefty enough defeats at home for Kildare now. The other thing is at least they know what they have to work on

I wouldn't consider them lucky. But you couldn't move for the amount of people queuing up to tell us how lucky we were against Kerry or Mayo.

Take these people with a pinch of salt. I thought you well deserved to beat Kerry from what I saw and in tight games there is always an element of luck

It all comes down to the final round for us. We've to beat Tyrone and hope that either Dublin or Cork win their game. Exciting stuff lads, you wouldn't find it anywhere else.
