Kells, they dont have any players with Meath so they do well in the secondary competitions but are found out come championship. Ratoath, Simonstown or dunboyne have 4 or 5 players missing for most of the league who are playing with meath.

Agree I like kells team but they have it all their own way in League and Feis Cup whilst many of the big teams are well short with 5 and 6 in county teams. Kells seem to do same thing every year , out of the gate 100 mile an hour but they get caught in the home straight every single year.

Ye would wonder they don't change it up and try and peak at right time.

how do you make that out? How many finals have Kells made in the last 5 years? How many players have they that can make the Meath panel?
Not sure Summerhill are better than Simonstown either but they are closer alright.

Yeah, as I said Kells do well in the secondary competition like the Feis Cup and league as they dont have players of the calibre to play inter county football. How would they do in these competition if there were missing 5 of their best player like Simonstown due to players playing inter county?
Summerhill bet Simonstown thanks to a fortunate enough goal late all last year. Think the last time they played was in the Keegan cup final when Simonstown won easily enough.

That's not true they have players Capable 2-3 definitely and summerhill are a better side than Simonstown they deserved to win Summer, Kells , Ratoath, Dunboyne will be 4 semi finalists this year

Ratoath, Simonstown, Summerhill and Kells are the 4 top teams and they were in last years semi final. Dunboyne regressed last year. Was at Summerhill semi final and they were fortunate to beat Simonstown in the end. Navan side are definitely top 4. Last years semi final form is the start of this years form until Dunboyne do something to prove otherwise

Then why has no manager picked them if they are so good?
Using your logic simonstown are better than dunboyne as they bet them 3 out of the last 4 years, hammering them last year.
There is a lot of holes in your arguments.
They may be the 4 semi finalist but what happens if the 4 teams are drawn in the same group or even against each other in a quarter final?
If Kells do get to a semi final they will be found out again when the real big teams have their county players back

Any knowledge on when round 1 of the leagues will be played now? And while they are at it would it be possible for them to maybe let people know the time and dates for round two of the league? It is only the weekend after next and people that have to do this thing called work on the weekends would appreciate any bit of notice they can get as it is difficult to tell employers 'oh I have a match next weekend but it could be any day from Friday to Sunday and I wont be able to let you know until 10 days or less before it when it is definitely on' This wouldn't be acceptable at county level so why is this utter incompetence and unprofessionalism being accepted at club level. Rugby clubs in Meath and throughout Ireland can be told the exact time/date/location of every single match they have for the entire season from start to finish right at the beginning of the year, and yet the GAA in Meath give players rough estimates on when a game might or might not be played, and you will be lucky if you know the time and date of the game more than 7 days before hand. Not good enough and they do be tripping over each other to try and defend themselves for this carry on.

No chance of normality resuming at end of March. In Meath, we might get the championships played but the league's wont be completed, not a chance

We could play the jnr championship from may on wards i dont think any players with senior team.
Doubt if jnr inter county go head this year.ok dual players need bit of planning but the weeks hurling on.if dual lads involved push to following week.midweek games b better than training for players.could get it finished fairly smoothly correct me if wrong.just a thought.

Could you split the leagues into 2 groups with top 2 of each group into semi finals? Realistically it could be end of April before we are back playing, could be even longer

Leagues won't be played this year. This will go on for a long time. We'll get championships and maybe nothing else.

Cant happen, too much celebrating would be done throughout the county, with the virus we have to think of health and safety.
