Replying To Ashrules:  "Do Meath ever get home advantage in the Leinster Senior Championship. It is always an advantage and even more with the low standard of officiating run by the Leinster Council compared to Croke park organised games.

From someone who was at the Ratoath match. With all due respect this was a weakened Ratoath team from the one in the County Final, Yet they would still have won if there was a referee who was properly trained and proper linesmen . We saw blatant home team refereeing and Ratoath players punched, blocked and pulled in front of linesmen who were only able to stand holding a flag with their gob open but nothing coming out.

Pat Doherty (Croke Park games administration) was at the game. Will he report back?, Will he take action?.
Hopefully."
Pat Doherty is now employed Westmeath GAA

Royler

You are right . But Ratoath would not have got away with the same things.

Seems to be a grey line between Croke park admin and Westmeath GAA. Last poster has me wondering did Westmeath get a say in which referee was selected.

And Donal Smith has replaced him in his role in Croke Park.

The 4 counties that make Leinster Inter county semi finals always get a bye in Leinster club and therefore are always away in Leinster club quarter finals.

Replying To Crinigan:  "Well done RoyalDunne. You basically ruined the thread with your nonsense about Westmeath football and its rivalries. Trying to stir the pot with Westmeath posters. Do you think anyone on the Meath forum gives a fiddler's f*** about rivalries in Westmeath football or if Garrycastle are popular or not.

Rather than discussions about the merits of this Ratoath team and what they might or not might not do, we had you dominating it with your Westmeath nonsense so people didn't even bother posting about the actual subject matter.

Grow up."
I think it's urself that needs to grow up. Btw it's a opinion forum. You don't like my opinion? Then don't read it. Now run along and make up MORE STORIES about players leaving panel. That never did. Good lad.

Your "opinion " on who likes who in Westmeath clubs should be posted on your forum in Westmeath ,and has no place on here . That's the fact so in this opinion crinnigan is of course correct on this occasion .

What an odd thread.. our Junior champions face off against each other in a Leinster semi final and unfortunately for both of us, they're both of our sole footballing representatives left in competition. I assume I speak on behalf of all Kildare fans when I say I'll be supporting Ballymore and would have assumed the same of Meath fans for your champions, as I'd expect ye to support all your teams but it's hard to make head nor tail of this petty thread!

Indeed. Well all the genuine Meath supporters will of course be cheering on clan ,
On a separate note it's extremely disappointing that only one representative of either Meath or Kildare remains in Leinster championship, particularly as both counties would be seen as the only alternative to Dublin.

I think Mattock Rangers will go all the way.

Bookies giving Ballymore the firm favourites tag vs Clann na nGael on Saturday, I'd be thinking the Meath champs at home would be stronger than that suggests, are there injuries or opt outs going on? I'm expecting a good match..

Didn't know that the game was decided in a bookies shop!

Never have been and will be far from tomorrow I'd say. A Meath club team in Meath won't ever be beat easy.

Brilliant win for Tom Hanley and his lads.
Hope Athboy/RathCairn can complete the job in the Leinster Final.
