Replying To Joxer:  "Club doesn't count. Remember what TheFlaker said you can't judge a player on club and college. How many allstars does Silke have anyway?"
Hi Joxer when you are calling him THEGOAT I would hold more stock on All Ireland finals. Sorry but you lads are setting the bar.

Replying To Joxer:  "I heard Silke went blind after the game. Yeah Connolly showed him his 11 Leinster, 5 AIs, 5 NFL and 2 all-star awards after the ref blew the whistle."
Did Connolly have 11 Leinsters and 3 All Irelands by February 2015?? And Corofin won that game handy for a finish.

Replying To Joxer:  "Start the younger felllas who have 70 in them. Bring on the all star vets with 20m to go and have them empty the tanks. Sensible approach I would have said. What tired back would want a fresh Kevin or Diarmuid running at them?"
None. I'd rather face Connolly running at me around the 40 though than McMenamin on the 21. Never All Stars given out for commitment but that man had stuff going on off the field and stuck with Dublin even when for most of the time not getting games. The big names are the big names but the players to be really admired are players like Kevin McMenamin.

Replying To Joxer:  "Yeah Gavin sticking to his principles and picking on form I presume. This young, as Kerry people keep telling us, Kerry team will not have met Bernard, Kevin and Diarmuid running at them at full tilt in the championship before. They'd have watched videos of our previous encounters, when the Kerry backs were just nippers, but contending with them on the pitch in the flesh will be a different story. Murchan, DC and Kev forced three turnovers alone in the last few mins in the drawn game."
Jeepers a good few Kerry Killers in there.

I'm more concerned about Kerry being consistent and clinical than I am about what Dublin will bring. They've been here many times before. A known quantity. A quality team. Kerry need to be up for it -to finally earn the respect still denied to them by so many. If they do that then I think they have a fair chance of winning the cup. Can't wait to see it now, if I'm honest!

The Meath fans of the 80s had a great version of the rare auld times. Let's just say it wasn't very pc and very anti dubs. Use to love singing it at the fans after a game. . But it was all good fun. If anyone tried it now they'd be arrested.

We'll I will say this to you my good man/woman.
Teams have to earn respect in order to be due it and the respect you mentioned that is due to this Dublin team is still being denied by some of your very own county men,we all know who they are., so when you talk about Kerry being denied respect, we'll, I can appreciate the sentiment, but not the logic to be honest.
This Kerry team have the potential to win several all Irelands, I just hope it's not today.
Enjoy the game.

Up the Dubs !

This Dublin team is standing on the shoulders of giants and legends like Heffo, Snitchy, Foley, Hanahoe, Keaveney, Mullins, Cullen, Doherty, Duff, Hargan, McNally, Rock, O'Leary, Redmond, Sherlock, Christie...and too many more to name. A great chance today to do themselves justice for almost a decade of hard work and to write themselves into the history books. It should be another great game against our old rivals. As always the lads will do the city and county proud, win or lose. They'll never lie down. Uo the Dubs. COYBIB.

A little remind for those recording the game....there is no Sunday game tomorrow evening but the Saturday game is on later tonight (10 pm).

Having an early lunch and heading off soon. Dublin team supposedly being announced noonish. I see 3 or 4 changes to last time. Rewatched the first game again last night. More confident now as actually a lot of players did have decent games. Work rate of the likes of Mannion, COC and Howard were immense when we went down to 14. We won some amount of turn over in the last 10 minutes of the game. Same intensity from the get go this evening and Dublin can win by 2.
