Replying To Galwayjoe86:  "Armagh have every chance of beating mayo on Saturday ,I was just replying to someone who was saying who can't be drawn against each other in the final qualifying round ,the poster said Armagh can't be drawn against Cavan and mayo can't be drawn against Galway"
That will be a good match, slightly favour Mayo. Offaly or Laois can't be drawn against Meath on the other side.
I don't see why not though.

Mayo should beat Armagh but it depends on their headspace, if they don't focus in properly like against Roscommon they will lose. Tyrone should beat Kildare but Newbridge is a narrow enough ground which may favour Kildare so don't be surprised if the Lilywhites win. Westmeath v Clare hard one to call, home advantage may be enough for Westmeath, Laois v Offaly you would expect Laois with home advantage but Offaly are on a bit of a roll under John Maughan so don't rule out a Faithful pressure

Kildare v Tyrone..... possibly game of weekend, Tyrone narrowly.
Mayo v Armagh...... Mayo 5/6pts
Laois v Offaly........ anyone's guess as it's just a free pass into Round 4 for both of them and that's where it ends.
Westmeath v Clare..... Westmeath.

You wont have to worry about that...Meath are a dead duck after Sunday..

Can't see Armagh having any chance of beating Mayo. I feel that Armagh are being over hyped - Clarke is a joy to watch and O'Neill and Burns are players who have loads of potential but I have no doubt that Mayo can negate the influence of all three without upsetting the balance of their own team.

correct me if i'm wrong but we are in the same position as your great-selves..
Quality Wise and mentality wise i don't see much between us.

A couple of victories over Mayo in connacht doesn't take away the fact that Galway and Meath have been in the doldrums for over 20 years now .
Nobody in meath would fear Galway

Galway have been a div 1 team for a few years now whilst Meath have been in Div 2 . Galway have also competed at all-ireland quarter final stages for the past few years so to be fair , they have been operating at a higher level and have been more successfull than Meath of late.

I don't understand why it's constantly mentioned here that a tight pitch suits Kildare. Kildare play much better on bigger pitches.
Hence the redevelopment of St Conleth s park includes widening the pitch.

So we have the 4 strongest against each other
with 2 from Laois,Offally,Westmeath and Clare going through to face the provincial losers.
You would have to Fancy Mayo and Tyrone to Advance although both games will be close.
I would fancy Laois and Clare from the other games but again I expect both to be close.
It leaves the prospect of a "weaker county" making it through to the Super-8s"
Hoping for Armagh, Kildare, Offaly & Westmeath.....

Probably going to be Mayo, Kildare, Laois & Westmeath.
