That will be a good match, slightly favour Mayo. Offaly or Laois can't be drawn against Meath on the other side. I don't see why not though. thelongridge (Offaly) - Posts: 1735 - 25/06/2019 16:57:02 2200737 Link 0 |

Mayo should beat Armagh but it depends on their headspace, if they don't focus in properly like against Roscommon they will lose. Tyrone should beat Kildare but Newbridge is a narrow enough ground which may favour Kildare so don't be surprised if the Lilywhites win. Westmeath v Clare hard one to call, home advantage may be enough for Westmeath, Laois v Offaly you would expect Laois with home advantage but Offaly are on a bit of a roll under John Maughan so don't rule out a Faithful pressure riverboys (Mayo) - Posts: 1389 - 25/06/2019 17:42:41 2200769 Link 0 |

kildare to beat tyrone mayo to beat armagh laois to beat the faithful and maybe just maybe home advantage to work in our favour against clare . i certainly am not overly confident of beating clare mickcunningham (Westmeath) - Posts: 1799 - 25/06/2019 18:24:35 2200790 Link 0 |
Can't see Armagh having any chance of beating Mayo. I feel that Armagh are being over hyped - Clarke is a joy to watch and O'Neill and Burns are players who have loads of potential but I have no doubt that Mayo can negate the influence of all three without upsetting the balance of their own team.

correct me if i'm wrong but we are in the same position as your great-selves.. Quality Wise and mentality wise i don't see much between us. A couple of victories over Mayo in connacht doesn't take away the fact that Galway and Meath have been in the doldrums for over 20 years now . Nobody in meath would fear Galway BeJasus (UK) - Posts: 383 - 25/06/2019 19:23:43 2200822 Link 2 |
Galway have been a div 1 team for a few years now whilst Meath have been in Div 2 . Galway have also competed at all-ireland quarter final stages for the past few years so to be fair , they have been operating at a higher level and have been more successfull than Meath of late.

I don't understand why it's constantly mentioned here that a tight pitch suits Kildare. Kildare play much better on bigger pitches. Hence the redevelopment of St Conleth s park includes widening the pitch. lilywhite1 (Kildare) - Posts: 2987 - 28/06/2019 23:44:50 2202238 Link 0 |
